Right thats a step closer, Thank you soooooo far 😉 but it you tap House of Savoy into google there`s lots of Coats of Arms  . Which would be relevent doya reckon to a Macchi MC205 of that WW2 era??.
Cheers Again
Judging by the rust i would say they are not Aluminium
Blimey when i first eyed them i thought they were German grenades lol.
My educated guess would be for Wick feed/burners for a lighthouse??
Its not just the stuff that came down but also the stuff thats fired up in a ACK ACK kinda way that came down also.. A mate of mine was metal detecting along the banks of the Thames last year and managed to did up an unexploded AA shell. Believe it or not he brought it all the way back from London to Shropshire in the footwell of his car. His dog slept on It which must have been fun was almost as big as my forearm.. He thought i would like to see it becouse im into WW2 stuff 😮 . I “”strongly advised”” him to go away and report it to the old bill.. This he thankfully did. A good lad but a pillock sometimes 😀
Thank you Madam and thank you Sir 😉 . I know its early in the season for many shows to be announced or confirmed but i will be taking notes on this years calendar of joy 😀
Mount them to a frame and hang on the wall, the finished models, not SWMBO!
Don’t suppose anyone knows where I can get a set of decals for a 1/24th Mk 1 at all?

Ebay, just type in 1/24 Spitfire, about £9 though 😮
…
…..GOT MINE TODAY NER NER NAH NER NER :diablo: ….
The kit does seem to have the bits for a MK1 still within. Ive not opened the acket but from what i can tell the moulding does not look that bad. Its made in grey rather than white plastic.. Thought i would drop an original box next to the new one. Everything still fits into the old box so i dont see the need for the bigger one.. There seems hardly enough paint to do the job also. the paint tubs are thimble sized
,,,
They are a lot smaller than 1/144, Trouble is i dont have any of the boxes. For the most they are plastic but a few are white metal. Ive about 150 of them
I could never choose a single aircraft that is more beautiful than another becouse as an artist i see them in a different light all the time.. I have to say though that the Delta wing design has probably produced the most number of elegant aircaft based around that shape, Even the ones with canards
Thank you. There`s plenty of challenges i set myself with this painting. Each time i put the brush to canvas its something new. As ive mentioned before im letting the painting guide me as it goes along now.
Just an update
Had a break from the painting over crimbo but during that time the stb wing started to bug me when i realized i had gone and made it too thick. I was left with the difficult task of chopping it back and then blending the background in again. Sod of a job but thats done now.. Along with that ive been adding details in the main around the cockpit and tail area`s. These 2 small area`s took about 3 hours of extra work
Its coming along nicely though

😉
W gets me is that the small kits are overpriced from what ive seen elsewhere. Even Aldis had the 1/72 kits with paint etc for £4.99 in the shop before crimbo!!!
The fairing on the undercart looks as though its curved all the way around the front like on the Saab 17/18. Used as airbrakes when down
Just ordered 2, greedy or what :D. Probably stick them in the loft with all my other junk ER!! I mean aviation memorabilia 😉
Spotted this Herc sneaking and winding its way from Wales and heading over Shrewsbury area at about 3pm. I got some closer up shots but we all know what one looks like so i thought a bit of a landscape might pretty it up a little 😉
