well its a complex question.

But if the INS Vikramaditya was to go against the Kuznetsov. The Vikramaditya should win as the indians are better trained in carrier ops. But there would be a hell of a fight between the Mig 29 and the Su33. Then it goes to the best trained flyers.

But the Kuznetsov would use all her advantages mostly her long range of her fighters and her ASM to attempt to take out the Vikramaditya from afar,

Now I am very new but here is my two cents,

If money was no object and it was a pure air warfare F22A no contest, if a bit strapped for cash would go for the Typhoon with meteor and ASRAM,

If a mix of air war/ ground war, Typhoon again with meteor and ASRAM for air defense and ground pounding, LGBs, brimstone ETC. If cost is a factor a Gripen.

Now all the above is reckoning on a western friendly country.

If not

Pure air war: a SU 30MKI modified to the countries needs, on the cheap not sure maybe a Mig 29 SMT but thats more the ground pounding role.

Ground pounding and air war: Mig 29SMT and thats all I can think of.
