Toy town?
Pugh! Pugh! Barney McGrew! Cuthbert! Dibble! Grubb! GSM125! 😀 😀
Many thanks all..Looking forward to the next 70! 😀
Yes indeed, but cancelling a project in the west to fund two projects in the east (EARL & Forth crossing) doesn’t sound like an ‘equal to all’ application of national funds…
Ok..throw in the M74 extension and even it all out a bit? :dev2: 😀
As its in the west.
It’s still a Scottish project Sandy, the budget applies equally to all.? One cannot differentiate between west and east Scotland? 😉
It is bit disappointing that the EARL official website sees no need to update such important news.
Talking it down? Not me. Simply being realistic. I am all for a rail link at EDI but politically it is going to take a back seat to the far more vital new Forth crossing.
Give the website time…
Will GARL politically also take a back seat to the new
Forth Crossing?
Actually this seems to be a non-story. According to the SE site the objection still stands
And if this news was genuine EARL/TIE would be screaming about it – they aren’t
The Glasgow Herald carried this story today
http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/73909.shtml
As for the other web sites..give them a chance to catch-up..
All capital project costs increase and no dout EARL will be no exception.. Shouldn’t we be wishing an aviation project
well instead of talking it down? 😉
As I understood it BAA were all for EARL as long as the Scottish Executive underwrote the risks associated with the tunnelling…
I doubt that has happened.. BAA wanted planning permission for their own private [Toll?] road from Gogar roundabout to the airport..Perhaps now it will be granted? 😮
Funny that, BAA get bought by a company more interested in making money, and suddenly things change…
Exactly my thoughts, let’s hope we see an end to the apparent lack of enthusiasiam for EDI
very nice matey. i like the KLM 737, the colours really stand out.
I have not seen a 734 on the EDI-AMS route for a while
we normally get a mix of 738/9s..the odd F70 on the mid-day flight.
Great shots mate, liking the BA shot.
Si
That one was quite a large crop, I wish I could get closer to fill the frame more Si.. 🙁
Very nice, particularly like the BA!
Angle shots quite often result in blown highlights Tom. I’m glad some can be rescued. 🙂
Some very sharp shots there Joe. Favs are the CO and WW.
Gaz
Thanks Gaz..Looks like the weather is closing in.. Next opportunity possibly Thurs/Fri?
ooooh like the 3rd shot 😀 Very nice
Thanks, a lot of blown highlights at that angle, I’m sure someone with better Photoshop skills could have presented it better.
I wonder if Loganair will be the next acquisition for Flybe?
Love the BA A320, colours are really vivid.
Raymy
Just out of the wash? 😀
