    Excellent news.

Proof that the Scotland-Germany route is popular

Extremely..Germanwings will hopefully also fly EDI-Stuggart – strongly rumoured.

Luththansa’s EDI-FRA is already 3 times daily and bmi
    look set to introduce EDI-MUC.

Will easyjet enter the market with EDI-Berlin.?

A concrete tower is usually built using a process called “slip-forming”. There is a ring of shuttering which forms a mould for concrete to be poured into. Steel re-inforcing bars are used to make the structure more rigid. The shuttering is slowly raised vertically as the tower is built in stages.

See my avatar for the ‘finished’ tower. 🙂

Why did they decide to build it land side amongst the public carparks?

BAA’s first planning attempt airside fell foul of the CAA
    evidently. 😮

Hadn’t heard who was rumoured. If that is true, I am surprised.

I’m still thinking BA might be involved somewhere. 😎

Good news. 🙂 This particular article mentions nothing of bmi regional apparently re-launching EDI-MUC though.

I believe BA might be upping the EDI-LHR freq to 13
daily instead of the present 12…?

Another rumour suggest a possible 2nd USA carrier eager
to emulate CO’s EDI success.? 😮

Its to help bleed of static charge from the nose cone onto the fuselage.

Is this the same principle behind ‘red noses’ Sandy?
