I am very impressed. Now all I have to do is get a DSLR and get down to SYD for the summer. All things aside, I am happy that airports of that class are taking care of us spotters.

Not just spotters either, a lot of pax also enjoy the facilities.

    Not just pax either..

I remember last October when Concorde made its last flight into Scotland.

There were literally hundreds of thousands ‘spotters’
lining all access roads at Edinburgh Airport.

There were scheduled or should I say regular high season charter flights to Florida with Air Atlanta 747’s but they have finished now, so any more 747 flights will be unexpected now.

The best bet would be Glasgow Prestwick International
    – PIK – . Anyone have a schedule of 747 arrrivals/departures there.?

I remember back in 1989 spending 10 hours on the terrace of Narita Airport.
Does someone know if this is still open ?

    Great place for Big Jets..

Anyone know if SIN has a terrace.?

Is that a bar I see…? With beer…??? If so, that’s my sort of viewing deck. Mind you, its been developed a fair bit since I was there seven years ago – back then it was just an open air roof-top.

    A

It still looks a bit ‘open’… plus ashtrays for smokers…. :p

Great photos Joe. Particularly like the BA A319.

I have pictures of BA’s A to Z fleet with the exception
of ‘E’ ‘I’ ‘Q’, anyone know where these are based?

Hopefully they will come through EDI one day.. 🙂

Lovely shots Joe. The Scot airways and VC-10 shots are especially great. 🙂

The paint on the VC-10 – on any military aircraft in fact –
seems to ‘fool’ infra-red beams from cameras. The result not being what one expects. Are military aircraft painted with special compounds.?

It’s been covered already, Fly Globespan will do Glasgow-Prague as well. 😀

It might all end in tears, who will withdraw first?

I remember a similar ‘battle’ at EDI between FR and Go-Fly
over the DUB route…the rest is history.. 🙁

Correct! 😮 The Scotairways is Dec 25th 2003 and the Astraeus 737 is in the Autumn of 2003! 🙂

You must be mad, keen on EDI to go there on Christmas
    Day? 😀
