    Yes all the Greek island airports are much of a muchness! 🙂

    It’ll be the charter config ones right? I flew on one last year to Crete, OH-LBS, when the Flyjet 752 that was meant to be taking us never showed.
    9 hrs+ to Florida might get quite uncomfortable on that plane!

    A 752 would require a tech stop? I prefer these tech
    stops actually, the opportunity to stretch the legs and
    for the smokers – a fag! 🙂

    Yep Emerald do have them! Current fleet is off the top of my head…

    Silver snapper, I thought emerald airways operate them in the UK?

    From their webpage:

    The Group owns and operates three variants of the BAe 748; the basic Series 1, of which it operates one; the more powerful Series 2A, of which it owns eleven and one Series 2A (LFD), with an extra cargo door capable of carrying outsize loads; of the two SD360 aircraft one is a Series 100 and the other a 200.

    EDI has loads of sheds. Just about the biggest aircraft we can provide maintainence for under the cover of a hanger! 😡
    They are always parked at the cargo ramp or over around the GA area. Often both. 🙂

    Remarkable when you consider the big RAF hanger is
    being used for PARCELS?

    EDI has the space for maintenance hangars but does BAA have the enthusiasm to build them.?

    I saw one of them yesterday, they look so dirrrty!

    They were plentiful at one time – and cleaner!

    Are BAC the only carrier in the UK with them.? 😮

    Except for their winter ski charters, I’d say so.

    If tour operators can fill-em as charters, surely Flybe
    can as scheduled..the logic being, “Tour operators wouldn’t bother chartering if scheduled were available”.? :confused:

    They’ve already expanded in Scotland in a regional routing sense, any future routes in a continental expansion are pure speculation at this moment in time.

    Flybe seem content to channel pax through their Southern hubs.

    No International routes from Scotland? :confused:

    GLAsgow, i’m sure i’m not the only one on this forum that is sick and tired of your constant starting of GLA vs EDI threads. Are you ever actually going to contribute something useful to this forum?

    Seems he has to be force-feed in order to attract

    I might appear a tad biased but I have suffered the force-feeding for the last five years.. 🙁

    Once you have worked with a 2.8 you will never want to go back to a lesser lense. Believe me. Save the money on the 70-300. Since I own the 300 2.8 my 400 5.6 has rarely been used.

    Primes are excellent, I might go that way…

    The weight being the deterrent. 🙁

    they did say they wanted to fly from GLA to Spain and France and they currently dont have the A/C to do that.

    No they didn’t..why would they compete against the over-capacity charter operations there.?

    Similar to me then, 10D with Canon EF 75-300mm f4-5.6, cheap but very cheerful. I’m not rich either, final repayment in September yeehah !!!!

    Lens are addictive…. beware! :p
