Any news on wether or not they will operate to Dublin during the winter ?
Check http://www.germanwings.com after 7pm this evening. ๐
What a beauty! Thanks Joe, what was the Jet2 doing there? Covering for a Globespan flight?
We get the odd Jet2 at EDI from time to time…are they not
something to do with Channex and the Dart Group.?
Having said that Flyglobespan now have an ex islandflug/icebird aircraft in their colours..
The paintwork seems a bit ‘rushed’
Great shot mate – you take an awesome photo!
Personally I like the livery, really stands out. I like a fair few of the lo-cos liveries, Jet2,Easyjet and I quite like Ryanair,V-Bird and Germanwings.
i also forgot to write that we got 1 drink service in 9 hours and 1 meal that was inedible and a mouldy old muffin
Don’t fly Northwest then…. I asked for a beer and whisky
chaser only to be told I could only have one drink at a time!
Mind you looking at the FA’s they did appear to be reps
for the Temperence Society of America.
Telling a Scot he cannot have a whisky chaser is like
nailing his feet to the floor when playing a Jimmy Shand
record. ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ก
ah yes, pending weather. If its raining at say 11am shall we abort?
Yes..it can always be re-arranged… in which case we
can always blame the weatherforcasters for being
anti-Scottish and send a posse into alt.weather.uk.edinburgh
Brilliant news!!
ps, we still on for a meeting on Saturday?
The weather looks OK…12 noon it is then… ๐
Anyone know of the Rizzi Bird in model form?
Excuse me? I said F*** all about the Irish.
Neither you did..this qoute of yours proves it
You’ll probably find he’s as Irish as the queen of sheba,
Nothing disparaging there…
There appears to be an outbreak of Hyperbolism in aviation
forums just now, its particularly rife in aaue
How about an inpromptu meeting Silver Snapper? would love to shakes hands with the infamous joe Curry ๐
Say 12 Noon Saturday, at spooks.
I’ll try..I’ll even put my teeth in! ๐ ๐ :p
So that’s the East end of Ingliston.
West..on the bend in the road.. ๐ ๐
I have already heard about this, and it is really awful, and as has already been suggested if this isn’t a good argument for some sort of dedicated area at EDI for spectators then nothing is! ๐ก
Oh yes, and where is Spooks?
Rumour has it that BAA could be providing spectator facilities at GLA.. let’s hope they reciprocate at EDI..
Spooks is the yard directly opposite the taxiway construction base. The 360o CCTV is located directly
behind the rusting roadroller and earth mover.
Why not arrange with the other spotters to meet in groups?
Any mugger will think twice before tackling a group of people alone.
We all used to congregate around taxiway alpha at Ingliston…the new fence and security zealots forced folk
elsewhere.
BAA could at least provide custom camera-sized holes in the fence.. I believe other airports provide these.?
Have you reported this to the Police etc as they might know who this is!!!
Bad Luck anyway whatever
MYRIA ๐
Jamie ran up to some nearby houses to call the police..
they took him round the area to ID the thug.
I suspect this one is from the contingent who plagued the area at this time of year..
I suggest we all get guns! ๐ก ๐ก
Deary me!
That is disgusting! I think all EDI spotters should band together and catch this irish thug if he turns up again.
One Idea is that everyone arm themselves with a batton or baseball bat. I’m not saying to wave it about and hit anyone suspicious or generally advertise the fact you have one, just the mere presence of one beside you will likely be enough to scare this coward off.
I have written to BAA blasting their failure to provide
spectator facilities and at the same time requesting
any suspicious footage they may have on their CCTV’s
I have also written to my local MSP and will also follow-up
to MP..Cllrs etc..
Meanwhile I will only be in full view of the 360o CCTV
at Spooks from now on…
* More space in cabin for carry-on baggage because we have fewer passengersโ on-board (126 seats in a Boeing 757 โ normally holds 229 seats in an all coach configuration).
