I do indeed, albeit part time.

Not had any designs go public as yet, so I can’t comment on who I’ve had work accepted by. When they start becomming public, I’ll let you all know 😀

    Edinburgh Airways 777-200? 😀 😀

On stand block 30…

That’s class Joe! 😀 Yes it is ARN-EDI 5 or 6 times a week with the 736. Just started at the end of March. Rumours are that they will be the airline to restart the Oslo route that EDI lost when duo went bust.

Call sign “Scandinavian” is normally 20/25 minutes early
into EDI… a lot of ‘suits’ at the moment but the leisure
pax will soon be swelling the swells..or as they say “Sometimes I think I like it!”

    Hi,
I’ve been looking at the lastest news on Titan airway’s site and it says how they have taken delivery of a B737-300 and a BAe-146.

Lets not forget their B752! 🙂

    I hate this categorisation! 😡
Still we had two widebodies at EDI(777 and Excel 767) in the same day- yesterday. BAA must have been on crack yesterday to allow that to happen!

The problem is that because of a few isolated examples.
folk cannot see the categorisation…actually believing
that airlines are bowing to ‘demand’ from elsewhere.

They are oblivious to the fact that EDI outperforms every
other BAA Scottish airport on routes it is allowed to compete over.

Long haul will not be any different, give the EDI-EWR
route a few years and it too will follow the same pattern.

Sounds great at Frankfurt.Im travelling there on 24th July on my way to Faro. I’ll be there for 4 hrs and so hopefully me and my dad will go and visit the observation decks.
    Next flight:- 24th July EDI-FRA-FAO

Let us know how you get on with that? Sensible flight arrangements by the sound of it…. 🙂 🙂 🙂

    “If it don’t go EDI…don’t go!” :p :p :p

Obviously they’ll have to wait until the taxiways are finished so they can rob us- yet again- of having full length taxiways. 😡

Any sensible company – with the right amount of enthusiasm – would be extending the runway at the same time as the full-length taxiways….

One gets the impression BAA want EDI to be less long haul
attractive until they get maximum long haul saturation
    at GLA…

Which is a pity because the ‘duped’ airlines will then have to move lock, stock and barrel 104kms eastwards to
where they should have been in the first place. 😀 😀 😀

The runway length has been compressed because of the amount of zoom used. Which believe is a huge amount! In reality the runway is just under 8500ft long, long anough for a 744 at mtow to the US Eastern seaboard I’d say, but no furthur.

The runway is capable for A330’s/B767s MTOW within these aircrafts ranges. Pretty comprehensive…

BAA have promised starter strips at each end of the runway to accommodate ALL large aircraft MTOWs.

    When? Good question…. 😡 😡 😡

Let’s face it, it is his/her website and his/her webspace and bandwidth you are using.

I don’t have a problem with that…I do have a problem with some of the ‘judges’… A quick check through
screeners contributions on various databases would suggest they don’t practice what they preach..  IMHO

How long will you continue to peddle this nonsense Joe and across how many forums ? And by the way BBC Scotland already has studios in Edinburgh, the centre of the universe as you proclaim it. 😎

Nonsense…? Folk are not entitled to opinions? Back-slapping GLA is allowed but supporting EDI isn’t?

    Get a grip… 😡 😡

Cool eh? 😀 Apparently it’s a VIP flight from Austria? It arrived just before noon and is here until sometime tomorrow. I’ve not been out yet, however, I shall be before it leaves! 😀
First visit of a 777 and Vietnam Airlines to EDI ever!

    Here’s another shot
