[QUOTE=ZRX61;1644108]I don’t have an OA rig, but my neighbour has a few, I once counted 27 gas bottles in his garage.
27 Gas bottles!! I hope you don’t live too close to him………………The fire dept. is always moaning about my 8 chained to the wall………….
ooo Are those FAL Mags in the bucket?? or M14
Weren’t these designed for a big block Chevy engine? I think also that a V12 was made for this using Chevy components and original castings by Ryan falconer?
You really need to get a grip man……….Oh yes you already have one……………
Thank god for that! I thought I was going to get a load of pictures of some old geezers tool………………………………..And yes the old tools are so much better than the new ones, No really they are………….
When I went for my Flight in the Chino air museums P51 It was not a paid flight but an Orientation flight given for joining the museum………………………. I think the rules must be similar over ‘ere…………………..
I ordered my copy a while ago and got it last week, shipping to the USA was not cheap but the book more than makes up for the cost. I’ve never read such a book with so much detail on the original aircraft’s history before the restoration and the pilot’s who flew her. The actual restoration is shown via a series of photo’s and narrative which is informative without being over technical.
All in all an excellent tribute to Al Deere and all his fellow pilots…………..Paul
Interesting on the advert he says fully functioning Tiger Moths are fetching 40K! However this machine would require 40K plus to get it to that standard!
Plane or car it ALWAYS cost’s more than it’s worth to restore these days………………
I’m still shooting wartime 30/06 and some very old 308 with only the occasional missfire. if Ammo is stored properly I can’t see it ever “going off”
There have been reports of old 308 having massive over pressure as a result of the powder flakes having been reduced to a fine powder by years of misshandling and some reports of damage to guns and people………..
Looking at a recent thread any chance a Me 109 might make an appearence??
Saw one attached to a Murphy Moose at Osh a couple of years ago he said he used it to frighten the moose off the landing area he had selected!!
Great pictures and I liked the “arty” one as well…………
My Mum still wears a pinny just like that one to!!
Oh and next door still has an Anderson in the back garden!!
