    Concorde in it’s as built configuration was doomed from the word go as a revenue earner, as can be seen in all the early documentory’s (not so much the later stuff) she was a test piece, a proof of concept. The real revenue plane was much bigger but was never built due to financial and technolgy constraint’s of the time.

    I am afraid to say I would be the exception to the rule and find them ungainly and just a little ugly. I think we see a lot more of them here in the States flying than most of you though………………….

    It would help to know precisely where and when he saw it.
    We get the full range of current UK/ US/ European stuff here but nothing more exotic than that.

    UPDATE on Location…………..
    Location due south of Askham in Cumbria, NGR NY511233; time approx1:45pm Friday 5th March.
    Aircraft was flying due S and low.

    Funny I just posted a picture of whittles beast but he said very similar but not it which is why I tried the MIG 9 Didn’t realise how similar those two are till this quest………..

    Thats the one!! I thought i remembered it on a pole but that definatly hit the memory button. and I guess from the year I was not such a kid either…………………..Funny I was working for Jack Barclay then so I was probably driving Rolls-Royces past it everyday!

    MARK12, when I were a lad I remember a spit/Hurrie on a pole in a courtyard of a firm on the embankment but can’t remember for the life of me where it was any idea’s???
