The real reason why the Red Star was removed was not to hide the operation for the west or anything silly like that. It was because Russia Law requires that the parliament approve any foreign deployment of the military which Putin didn’t have pretty much until before the air strikes started. Though as we all know the build up had already been happening for months. I think it was just a way to deny it if any legal issues came up. It could of been said they these planes were meant to be hand over the the Syrians and not apart of the RuAF. As we all know the operation has now been approved and the Red stars are being repainted.
It’s Debka so don’t believe it one bit.
With news of the Kh-29 know looks like the Kh-25 is also being used.

First photo of the SA-22 at the Latakia airbase.

Another photo of the KAB-500S

Definitely one of the most interesting reveals of the campaign has been that RuAF has the KAB-500S in their arsenal. Anyone have any idea to what arms contract these bombs my belong too? I remember one being signed around the time of MAKS2011 so maybe about then? Also makes you wonder what other modern munitions may have been purchased but just haven’t been used yet.
Are Su-34s armed with land attack cruise missiles?
Well they can carry the Kh-59 but it’s a bit over kill for these types of OPS don’t you think.
Su-30SM are flying CAP.

Not sure about the R-77 statement probability just armed with R-27.
Allegedly first russian “loss” in the conflict:
This video has already been proven to be fake. Its cut together from two videos and the audio is taken from another video.
Looks like the first airstrike can be confirmed a miss as it was hit again at night this time with something a lot bigger.

HI-RES video of the Su-34 get a better look at that bomb.
Looks more like a FAB-500M62
mmmm Doesn’t seem to have the connecting circle between the fins.

Footage of Su-34 in Syria.
Can someone idea the bomb? looks like a KAB-500L or KAB-500SE to me.
A lot stories now popping up that Syria has received five Combat Aircraft from Russia. Its coming from Syrian defence officials. I’m not sure if it just being used to cover the Russia Air Force deployments or if in fact it is true.

Well there goes my theory on the Su-24. :highly_amused:
Photo from today:

Photo of the Flight Line

Ok so now I know a few people are going to be asking where are the Su-24 that we saw in the video before right 😉 I have a bit of a theory.
There were some photos that were posted of a unmarked Su-24 in desert camo on display taken at Novosibirsk Aviation Plant about a month ago. At first I though it might of been an Ex Libya Su-24 that never got delivered.

Then was an article a read a few days ago that I found a bit odd because it stated that Syria had taken delivery of Sukhoi aircraft from Russia. (See if I can find it again) I thought it was a weird chose of words but though nothing more of it.
So what I believe is that those Su-24 that we sure in the video were’t RuAF Su-24 but in fact are new Su-24 for the Syrian Air force. Which have been flown into another base.
I also believe that the news of the MiG-35 contract for a secret customer will also indeed turn out to be Syria.
What this would means is that this Russian build up had been in the works for sometime but kept secret.
Like I said it’s just a theory so I could be completely wrong. :stupid: Maybe they just didn’t arrived yet when the satellite photo was taken. :p

There are the 12 Su-25. Like magic they appear :p
