Duxford Tuesday 18th April

Perhaps the last sighting of Spitfire P9374 as it was being towed yesterday morning to the ARCo/HFL hangars to start her dismantling for shipment to the USA.

The Shuttleworths Collection DH88 Comet was reported as doing a couple of passes yesterday afternoon at Duxford but seen below on return to Old Warden in glorious sunshine.

Its been fairly quite at Duxford over the past week possibly due to the rather poor weather conditions. It was nice therefore to see Spitfire 1 N3200 going up for and airtest today followed by a nice practice display albeit in rather hazy conditions.

Duxford Wednesday 15th March.

Plenty of activity at a lovely sunny Duxford today.

Most notable was a further air test by Sopwith Pup N6161 in the morning followed by a further engine run this afternoon as seen below.
