As the Buchons are at Duxford, maybe the boys there can confirm if they were up yesterday.
BBMF Hurricane flew yesterday, could it of been that?
Only Yellow 10 at DX at present as far as is known.

Great news from ‘downunder’ is that Spitfire FrXIV ZK-XIV made her first flight following her latest restoration at Ardmore NZ late yesterday afternoon ( NZ time). She was tragically badly damaged in a take off accident near Wanaka on 2/1/96 whilst owned by the Alpine Fighter Collection. She was a Duxford resident awaiting restoration between 1989 and 1993 but was moved to Audley End for completion making her first flight on 21/1/94. On the 5/2/94 she was noted at Duxford but was soon crated and headed for NZ. Congratulations to all involved.

[QUOTE=Trolly Aux;2202746]Was this not the day the Hurricane had to hop over the spit on landing due the the Spit having a undercarriage leg faliure? I watched it hop over , top bit of flying

Am I the only one that prefers the 1968 look?
Or perhaps earlier looks as seen at Duxford over the years ?

With AB910 in the news a chance to look back 47 years when on the 10th August 1968 she flew into Cambridge from Duxford prior to departing to Montpellier in France for continuation of filming for the Battle of Britain Film to be released the following year.
