Most notable was the Hellcat for possibly its first engine run for many a year.

Tuesday 08Oct13
A very quiet day at Duxford. The calm before the storm – literally according to the weather forecast for the next few days. The Catalina was the first war bird on the move when it was parked out on the airfield following a low rev engine run. As TFC were extracting their P-40F for an engine run out on the grass, the desert Buchon flew in from Humberside with Cliff Spink giving a short display before landing and parking up at ARCo.[Brian
Just noticed the wing tip and prop effects on this ‘long distance’ shot of the Buchon arriving yesterday.

Excellent report from DCW on the star of todays action from DX. Earlier in the day there was a lot of movement of aircraft in and out of and between hangars. Below some of the activity.

Old Warden Wednesday 18th September:
With next Sunday’s Flying Day being ‘Shuttleworth Uncovered’, there are signs that the NAW Camel replica may be featured. The tail surfaces and centre section have been fitted, the wings looked ready for rigging:
[Still waiting for someone to post a picture of the last rotary-engined Camel to fly at Old Warden (G-ASOP/B6291 in 93/94)
As requested a picture of the last rotary Camel B6291/G-ASOP that flew at Old Warden. Seen here on 19/5/93. It is reported as making its first flight on 27/7/93 and subsequently leaving Old Warden late 1994 /early 1995. Rebuilt from the remains of this 1917 a/c with many original parts and powered by a 110hp Le Rhone.
