What a unique shot of MH434 and G-AKIF. Two aeroplanes once owned by Sir Adrian Swire flying together.

Hadn’t thought of that !! In that case another slightly different one.

Well, I was fooled for a moment!
There are blue RAF roundels on the top wings peeking over the leading edges though!!!

    Duxford – Monday 12th August 2013

Greeting early visitors to Duxford this morning was the fine sight of the Blenheim G-BPIV outside showing it recently applied colours although perhaps not in its ‘VINYL FINISH’ ??

Who was flying the Gladiator? I can’t see from pictures 5 and 6.

I may be wrong but I think it was a new pilot to this particular aircraft !!!!

Duxford Thursday 8th August. An afternoon visit found the welcome sight of the TFC Gladiator doing aeros to the North of the airfield. With 06 runway in use not much opportunity for flying shots but nice to see her active and the pilot enjoying himself I am sure.

Is it me or are DCW’s pictures all sort of compressed/distorted and looking one dimensional like film location “flats”? Duxman’s are fine.

Roobarb – You were not seeing things as they looked distorted to me when first looking at them yesterday. Have had discussions on this in the past with DCW and havn’t really got to the bottom of the issue. It was thought that it might be way the images were cropped or resized for posting but it seems more likely dependent on the type of PC/laptop/tablet you are viewing them on. Sometimes it also made a difference as to whether you were logged on to the Forum or not. This morning the images are fine !!!!!

    Duxford 30/7/13 – Overhead at 9.25am

Air Atlantic C-47 was noted transiting overhead DX in and out of cloud heading roughly NE at 9.25am. Underneath her wings she seems to carry ‘ kfztelle24 ‘ titles. Is she en route to her new home in Germany ?
