Duxford Wednesday 17th July. With temperatures exceeding 30 degrees not a day for waiting around but a quick visit this afternoon found Harvard G-KAMY doing a couple of circuits
The expected container had arrived for Princess Elizabeth
–and most welcome of all the Rolls Royce Spitfire XIX PS853/G-RRGN making a welcome first test flight following its incident at East Midlands earlier this year.
Duxman
Was Princess Elizabeth still in tact or was she in her container waiting to go by the end of the day?
I also thought Stevo was heading back to the States on Monday with the rest of the American contingent?
Princess Liz is still more or less in one bit as far as I could see late afternoon and a container has yet to arrive.
For the record the Red Bull B.25 remains on the grass flight line as do a significant number of TFC aircraft.
DX 16/7/13 – Getting back to normal after all the weekends airshow activity and aircraft departures but still a few things of interest noted late afternoon
Visiting aircraft today included T-6G G-TEXN

Whilst not strictly historic but still nearly 30 years old was King Air 90A N121GT
Whilst in Hanger 3 the Shuttleworth Hind awaits some attention
and in Hanger 2 some late spring cleaning found the hanger extremely tidy !!

For those lucky enough not to be back at work saw the Red Bull B.25 N6123C this morning giving a rather polished practice display if you will pardon the phrase !! For those not present she could well be staying until Thursday before going to Fairford.
