With restrictions on photography and to parts of the airfield today due to the 2 sets of filming taking place I will confine myself to a few late afternoon shots of Buchon action

Apart from the film activity today the Catalina was also doing some circuits in the ‘gloom’.

Following its partial new colours yesterday Spitfire MH434 has gone back to its original scheme but has acquired some invasion stripes on the wings. No doubt we will learn more tomorrow ?

The Buchon was parked down the M11 end of the runway – a bit far for my pitiful portable picnic picture taker…

Just noticed that TA805 has had its fuselage invasion stripes removed.

Yes indeed. They were in the process of being removed yesterday.

    Great photos, as per.

Of the many photos I’ve seen of G-BOML in her film markings, I’ve never noticed the faint “G-BOML” markings on the starboard side of the fuselage – unless I’m seeing things?

And for those with poorer eyesight —–

Duxford Friday 17th May. No photographs from today but a fair amount of local activity noted. No doubt someone will come up with some pictures ?

The Catalina departed this morning apparently to France.
The based T.28 has been flying for most of the day.
The Grace Spitfire T9 landed late afternoon.
Buchon Yellow 10 was also flying this afternoon.
The final parts of the Sea Venom and Amiot looked to be about to depart for Poland.
