Thought to be the first warbird flight of the year at Duxford this morning when Spitfire TR9 was up for 3 sorties.

Next year will see the 50th anniversary of the filming of ‘The Battle of Britain’ at Duxford. On the 4/10/2017 one of the Buchons involved in the filming HA1112 c/n 145 G-AWHH was restored to the UK register its owners being shown as Anglia Aircraft Restorations whose other airworthy aircraft are based at Duxford when not spending time at Sywell. This Buchon was one of 2 that recently arrived back in the UK so lets hope she might be restored in time to reappear at Duxford for the 50th anniversary.
During the filming in 1968 it was notoriously difficult to confirm the identities of each individual Buchon seen flying due to them regularly changing their codes. G-AWHH was variously reported as carrying Red 4 and Red 8 I believe . Below some images from my collection taken 1968. I wonder what code she might carry next year if she returns to DX ??
