WA591 did an exciting series of fly pasts and a touch and go for a gathering of ex 1950s RAF pilots at Coventry yesterday.

Did you see an earlier but still recent film of the same story “The Tuskegee Airmen”? How do they compare?

Pretty sure that I saw one para’ dropping over Weston on the Green a few weeks ago (I was driving on the M40 so staring long and hard at it would have been unwise!).

Ah, that is the above mentioned G-PIGY.

Just thought you all might want to know that WD413 has just finished some engine runs at Coventry. They were over on the engine test area so presumably they were giving it some, they do starts and warm-ups on the apron.

If you think these restrictions are silly (and they are), you should have seen what the maniacs originally proposed (larger in geography and twice as large in time). Only a lot of work by AOPA, CAA and RAF got it down to what it is now.

As for airshow organisers, if anyone in SE England flies and does not already know about this then they really should not be involved in aviating at all.
