If the FA bodge this again we will just go from one losing streak to another, There is time until we need qualify for the world cup this time needs to be used to rebuild.
Rebuild with what though?
England have 1 player who I would say has a football brain, that is Joe Cole (another would be Paul Scholes, but he has retired from internationals) – the rest are all about forcing the game with power and energy.
Steven Gerrard or Frank Lampard don’t have the subtlety to play international football to a high standard. Good club players (well Gerrard is, I don’t particularly rate Lampard), but not world class. Wright-Phillips is good at what he does, but the build up to giving him the ball is very one-dimensional.
Crouch is barely worthy of playing in a championship team, never mind an international side. Defoe??? Ha ha ha
Too many over-rated players who believe the hype of SkySports.

BTW I notice you came from Ireland, did you make it to the finals ???:dev2:
Nope, but I know we are gash and didn’t expect anything.
You lot seem to expect to walk onto a pitch and beat anyone anytime.

.. and then you suddenly woke up, found your hand in a chamber pot and realized that your blanket was wet.. ๐
no no no…
its dreamt you were a fighter pilot, then woke up firing your load(out) ๐ฎ ๐
Most 4×4 drivers are not fit to drive a vehicle of that size.
They don’t know where their 4 corners are.
If we were for getting a 4×4 (and we are thinking about it for the farming), it will be a defender – anything else is just 2nd best.

SAVE STEVE MCLAREN CAMPAIGN
As a non-englishman, I think he is doing a great job, and should be rewarded with a 10 year contract :diablo:
You have to realise (along with the rest of your country and the media) that your team is not that good. Technically poor, tactically poor, mentally extremely poor. Power and aggression can only take you so far, they couldn’t be aggressive on that pitch last night and were torn apart.
Croatia should have put 6 past them.

F-35 detects emissions from SU-35BM at 500km.
SU-35 cannot detect F-35 until range is less than 25km due to stealth.
F-35 sets up ambush beyond the detection range of SU-35, launching AIM-120Ds at 80km.
SU-35 pilot enjoys a nylon letdown.
F-35 pilot continues mission destroying 8 ground targets using GBU-39s.
F-35 pilot enjoys a Coke and sandwich back at the DFac.
1. Assuming the Su-35 is emitting anything.
2. No way is that correct man. OK, it might be, for one very specific azimuthal angle and one radar wavelength – but as soon as the F-35 moves away from that optimum, it can be detected much further out.
The system features a head-on acquisition
range of at least 350โ400 km for aerial targets
with the 3 sq.m radar cross-section (RCS)
and a pursuit acquisition range of at least
150 km with a target traveling at 10,000 m
or higher. The Irbis-E spots โsuper-low-observableโ
threats with the 0.01 sq.m RCS out
at 90 km.
Thats the thick end of 60 miles, with GCI able to track all “stealth” aircraft (except maybe – emphasis on maybe – the B-2), there is nothing preventing Su-35s trying to manouvre into a position where the relative RCS of the F-35 is quite high.
It is now the only “pure” interceptor in the RuAF.
It is now the only pure interceptor in the world with ongoing development.
I thought they were chasing both (and the only country to be making progress with either one of them)?
They’re looking to get a hypersonic bomber into service by 2015 or something are they not?
[or am I getting very confused?]
2 more points to make.
1. re the hypersonic bomber – I highly doubt it will be invisible to radar for a useful distance. The ionisation of the air at hypersonic speeds will see to that, and the shockwaves will also be something that simply cannot be hidden (if they do manage to find a way around the ionisation).
2. with the continual improvement in BVR and WVR missiles, will aircraft manouverability not soon be rendered useless anyway?
I disagree – infact, I think it will be quite the opposite in a few years time.
The interceptor will make a comeback. A large, extremely fast aircraft capable of long distance cruise at high speed, armed with…. DEWs.
Think an SR-71 with a massive AESA radar running the length of the aircraft on either side – it also doubles up as a laser and you get something similar to what I’m imagining.
Missiles are rendered useless, maneuverability is also now useless, stealth… well, it may mean you can avoid getting seen and hence shot down, but not mean you can deny airspace or provide air dominance – only that you can hope to sneak in around the back and drop some bombs.
OK, 101 alternative uses for an airport fire truck:
1. Snowplough
2. Gritter Truck
3. (My contribution) Ice cream van. Think of the novelty value this would have. I’m not convinced as to the musicality of the siren but I’m sure that could be modified!
4. …………Your ideas please, people! ๐

4. Sprinkler system in summer (yes yes, whatever day its on this year) – can be used to cool down aircrew… [Females have to wear white t-shirts by law ๐ ]
