No i just gave example. There are four modes of attack for SD-10 Missile. Read the SD-10 thread. And AIM-54 is not that bad missile. J-10 has 11 hard points. Greater weopon load. Better Design.
Read the J-10 mass production thread. It is in the first posts that J-10 is Superior to either of them. Both are heavier fighters and are less maneourable than J-10. J-10 has also the advantage in terms of price and SD-10 Missle. Which is longer in range and faster in speed than AIM-120 and R-77.
I guess F-16BLK52+ and M2000-5 are similarly priced. And F-16BLK62 and M2000-9 are similarly priced. But who cares J-10 can blow both of them.
How about Arabs change currency to China Rmbs? We have been supporting their cause constantly in Secuity Council and UN General Assembly. Never Veteod their resolution.

This is 2004, not 1940. Post some numbers and I’ll believe you.until then the largest 10 english speaking nations are..
1. United States 210,000,000 first language speakers in USA (1984 estimate). 8,400,000 USA residents with no one 14 years old or older who speaks fluent English; 38% or 7,700,000 households headed by immigrants.
2. United Kingdom 55,000,000 first language speakers in United Kingdom (1984 estimate). Population total all countries 341,000,000 first language speakers (1999 WA), 508,000,000 including second language speakers (1999 WA).
3. Canada 17,100,000 mother tongue speakers in Canada, or 60% of the population (1998 Statistics Canada). 820,000 mother tongue speakers in Quebec (1995 Statistics Canada); plus another 1,500,000 in Quebec whose first or second language is English (1995 Statistics Canada).
4. Australia 15,682,000 in Australia (1987), 95% of population (1980 WA).
5. South Africa 3,500,000 in South Africa (1991 Christos van Rensburg), 9.1% of the population (1995 The Economist).
6. New Zealand 3,213,000 in New Zealand (1987), 90% of the population.
7. Ireland 2,600,000 in Ireland (1983 estimate).
8. Zimbabwe 375,490 in Zimbabwe (1969 census).
9. Singapore 227,000 speakers, 8.9% of population, 729,000 second language users (literate in English) in Singapore, 28.5% of population (1985 estimate).
10. Israel 100,000 in Israel (1993).
I cannot waste my time arguing with Indians non-Aviation issues. That one thread was enough. The literacy rate of India is generally considered its english speaking population and those who live abroad also speak english.

Your logic is truly superb :rolleyes:My interest in Russian systems is partly a byproduct of my profession. Why is it you people always accuse someone of being Indian or Pakistani? Can’t you come up with an original one? Maybe accuse the next guy you disagree with of being Nicaraguan or Madagascarian.
You should know by now that India is largest English Speaking nation of the world and alot of them are floating around in this forum. And it is usually Indian which bring China examples in every thread like Brute Gorrilla, Indian 1973 etc.

And you must therefore be Pakistani for accusing me of being an Indian  What is it with some of you guys and the insistence on labeling people as your obvious targets of hatred? As for the missile designs, explain to me then o wise person the reason to bring up pictures of anti-ship missile fittings and their related BAND STAND radars.
And yes, China does sell things to the Middle East, good for them. Saudi already operates the CSS-2 MRBM from China.
The person who has started “NAVY THREAD” has India flag with it. so why not put his example. Aircraft carrier is also a part of Navy. And Anti ship missiles have now more commonlaity with Airlauched versions. Similar is the case for Radar technolgy. And you discuss more Russian technology than western. It means that you are from India because China has indigeous versions of same weopons like SD-10.

Eh, it’s military related, and if we can talk all day about the new Chinese naval vessels and the space race, both of which also have nothing to do with aviation, then why not nuclear weapons and WMD? 😀
You must be Indian for bringing China into this. Same complex bringing China into every thing. Crobato was asking about missile sytem of New China boats not the Boats design itself. And you should know that Aviation and Space technology is related field now. Remember AW&ST Magazine.
From link i got this
http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/saudi/index.html
“Press reports have speculated that China has approached the Saudis with offers to sell modern missile systems. The 600-km range CSS-6 and 1800-km range CSS-5 solid-fueled missiles have been mentioned.”
Saudis have recently awarded a big Gas contract to SINOPEC. It means more weopons sales are in the offing. China always play hard ball in the Middleast. And that is the reason of proliferation of US technologies to China from Middleast.

The F-8 was the focus of a planned substantial combat aircraft improvement programme, which collapsed following the introduction of US embargo against China. The F-8 II upgrade programme was being developed in conjunction with Grumman. Two airframes were delivered to Grumman in 1990 for modification including the Westinghouse APG-66 and upgraded avionics.
The F-8 I, whose development began in the late 1960s, retained the nose intake of the F-7, and is powered by two WP-7 (Tumansky R-110 engines. The F-8 II was first flown in 1984, and has entered low-rate production. The F-8 II differs most visibly from the previous model in having two shoulders, rather than a single nose intake. The aircraft is powered by two WP13A-II engines, developed from the Tumansky R-13-300.
Customers: F-8-I China 200 plus, F-8-II 50 Plus (status uncertain).
where is the Comparision.

That can hardly be used as argument. It is obvious that China wants to use their indigenous equipment rather than imported, no matter whether it is superior or slightly inferior.China decided to go for their K-8 Karakorum rather than Hawk or Jak-130. Does this mean the K-8 is better than the other mentioned?
K-8 development started in late eighties. China will always buy a Superior weopon as stop gap measure if it is available. It will always build a Superoir version to Imported weopons. SD-10 was specifically developed taking into accounrt the performance of AIM-120, MICA and R-77. For such a large Airforce only limited R-77 were purchased.

Dont they use the Seeker head of the R-77 on the “SD-10” ?
there are three to four versions of SD-10. Media description is not usually accurate.
R-77 is vastly inferior missle to SD-10. Other wise China would have purchased thousands of rounds for it 600 to 700 BVR fighters.
Are these Production models Cockpit or for only Prototype only.
This is not official picture. It is just a guess diagram of Cockpit. Cockpits are continously updated. No one knows from which year it belongs.
