> F-7GPs PAF has inducted are more then enough to take on IAF MIG-21s
er how? the Bisons have a superior radar, better avionics, a BVR missile (AA12), a better WVR weapon(AA11), HMS, auto chaff and flare dispensers and a modern RWR and SPJ.
most impartial observers would say the Bison would have a decisive advantage over a -PG in anything but a guns-only dogfight!
J-7G is the best variant of MIG-21. Just look at the build quality and flight
performance. And you will not see Chinese aircraft with what ever russian
missile. The standard missile untill now is PL-8. Complete confidence on
local built missiles.
The rest is minor avoinics stuff which can be added any time.
please ignore SD-10, it’s pointless to argue with him
Though I don’t think the F-16blk50 can outmatch an Su-30MKI, I think the blk60(which Pakistan is probably unlikely to get) can probably stand up to it in BVR and in WVR I think anything would get eaten up against an Su-30MKI.
why you have to point at my handle to ignore? you should make only your
own statements without mentioning me.
An F-16C/D Block 50/52 or F-16E/F Block 60 wouldn’t be much of a match for an Su-30MKI either I’m afraid.- hideously overweight “light” tactical fighters laden with ever-increasing weight and consequuent with wing-loading up the wazoo in comparison to their predecessor models aren’t exactly hot performers in comparison to a Super Flanker. Not to mention that it’s so far out of the price range for Pakistan it’s ridiculous.
And it’s *Su*-30. Not SU.
how F-16 is overweight when it has 15000KG engine?. And I am afraid
Flanker EW suite is not upto F-16 par. Malaysia chose SA avitronics and
some other countries also. And now don’t try to equate JHMCS, AIM-9X or
AIM-120 with any thing russian.
Go back to PDF….or stick around, don’t comment, read, ask questions and LEARN.
who are you in telling me what to do and not to do. I have my own comments
and you should have no business with it.
It depends on who gets operationalize its jets. FC-1 with SD-10 should be
better than Gripen with R-Darter.
I wonder why russians did not follow the single engine Mig-29 project and sold designs to chinese later for Fc-1 .
No matter what the case Russia should consider coming up with new designs soon . Mig has been flying for ages and two main customers india and china have already gone for flanker production deals . Russians should keep their upper hand with new designs and better technology .
PS : i like Su-33 more than Mig-29K
Russian Single Engine fighter project .

Where is the evidence of design selling? that plane doesnot look like Fc-1
which is still in development stages. That model on AFM looked different.
Radar of MKI is still Russian so it is not an example of east meeting west.
not really, the article said that pakistan has been impressed and pleased with china’s progress (in terms of radar and avionics) but they still think china has a long way to go to fully catch up with the west. common sense really.
Radar and avionics are the key if they are mastered the rest is matter of
time.
This is the statement. Notice the word ALL.
“The Chinese are developing precision guided munitions and all sorts of weopons-good radars-so all those things we didnot have in the past we can
get from China”
You missed the important point.
China reaching Western Standards in terms of PGMs and other stuff is matter of
short time.
i have seen the latest AFM issue. That said PAF was not satisfied with J-10 avionics
package. So they went with some other or some improvement and now it is on
bench tests that avionics is but it is not precise from where.
It was reported that Chengdu aircrafts will named after animals of prey. so the
next in series is Tiger.

You have to add aviation related example like this. Mirage and Mach 3
http://www.expressindia.com/fullstory.php?newsid=15262
The new Mirages also have capability of achieving mach 3 speeds and soaring heights up to 65,000 feet in just four minutes
It is still MIG cockpit.

China has 3 times the area of India with roughly 25% more population.
China population density is way lower than India, Japan, Korea and most of
the nations of East asia. but it is still third world.
And initiation of reforms is not entirely linked with SuperPower status. It is
just some nations are destined to become while others are left behind in
dust bin of history.
And one or two low level people comments on the whole Aviation Industry
does not mean any thing.
An F-15 is more likely in flying condition than Flanker. Not sure how much percentage
of CIS flankers are in flying condition.
