It’s a business and like any other, it relies on a customer base.

I’m also a cynic, old shape, and I agree that altruism isn’t Simon Cowell’s driving force when he does things for worthy causes.
It isn’t the first time he has been involved in charity work on a large scale, so I can only respect the fact that he does, no matter what you consider his ulterior motives to be.
He isn’t forced to do anything charitable, but the fact remains that he does and in a bigger way than many other organisations do that could.

So beat it down all you like, all I see is someone at least doing something worthwhile as well as making himself rich in the process.

Moggy, I’ve read hundreds of web pages and articles regarding climate change, global warming, rising sea levels, global cooling, man made and natural climate change, but none of them quote anything about, “95 – 98% of all serious scientific opinion” being in agreement with anything specific.

That’s the source I was hoping you could supply.

“The Scientific Consensus on Climate Change,” written by Naomi Oreskes, of the Department of History and Science Studies Program, mentions nothing about percentage of serious scientific opinion in agreement, probably because no one actually knows.

So do what the British do best now, allow immigration from all corners of the world to overload a country with already overstretched resources.
Pay them benefits while they look for jobs that a million or more indigenous Brits are seeking.
Allow them the freedom and rights that go with living in the UK.

Ban the BNP, even though it’s legal, but not a nice, friendly organisation and deny anyone their job if they belong to it.

And no, I’m not a BNP supporter, in fact I’m a lifelong Conservative, but I’m watching the country of my birth going down the pan and it’s not a pretty sight.

I believe I abandoned ship at the right time, i.e., well before ZanuLabor were voted into power.

However superb the post is Jose, there is no requirement to quote the entire thing when it is directly above your post, if at all. – Moggy

    Superb post, Comet!
You forgot Christians, they’ve been guilty of a few past cimes against humanity, so they should go too!

And a few others, no doubt.

It’s obvious that Belgian beer reaches the parts that even Heineken doesn’t!

I apologise to whom it may concern for copying all of the last post, but I felt it deserved a second viewing.

Is anybody here old enough.. apart from Pete Truman and myself.. to remember the Rag Trade with Reg and the late Miriam Carlin..now that was a funny show

😀 I remember watching Café Continental on Saturday nights, Sunday Night at the London Palladium and even earlier listening to Dick Barton and Tommy Handley on steam radio.

Having lived through those times, I later decided it was time to get choosy as to which programmes were worth watching and discovered a life away from the idiot’s lantern.

Given that I can’t see anyone here suggesting that people should be dismissed from their jobs for that reason – quite the opposite, in fact – the answer is ‘yes’.

Did my comment suggest or infer that it was aimed at anyone here?
