Oh how we Europeans laugh at Americans who complain about fuel prices.:D

All the other points have been covered in this thread, man made global warming is another tax gathering myth, fact!

Sea levels have been rising at a 1 to 1.5cm (or is it mm?:diablo:) increment per annum for as long as the levels have been recorded and there is no sign of the mahusive increase that the doom mongers promise.

The planet is overcrowded, but an enormous amount more of it is uninhabited than unoccupied by homo sapiens.
I’ve flown at low altitude and driven across the USA, with its vast population, but little evidence of life is visible on that ginormous continent, save for the cities.

SlightAll this boils down to is opinions, opinions, opinions.

Absolutely, and everyone is entitled to ONE! 😀

Perhaps I’m just from a generation that has become more accustomed to a ‘new’ form of comedy……. Perhaps if you look at the demographic of those who officially complained, it might reveal that the majority all lie within an older generation and perhaps this may be because they have grown up with a set of different values.

Not entirely accurate, being one of the ‘older generation’ myself, I’ve managed to keep up with so called modern comedy, but much of it leaves me thinking that Lord Snooty and Desperate Dan were much more amusing than Little Britain etc.:p

I respect your dislike of the issue and seeing as this is a good natured internet forum, all I ask is that you appreciate the fact I have a different opinion. The extensive divide on the topic clearly shows that there are a lot against the incident and a lot that were not fazed by it.

    Well said!

Can you please not attempt to generalise myself and my behaviour based on one remark on a topic, in a forum, where the outlying goal is to observe other people’s contributions? I don’t appreciate being victimised because I was the one who chose to express my opinion, out of others on this forum and countless more who are not part of it.

You might get used to being victimised for whatever reason, I managed it on one forum, simply for being older than anyone else there!:D

This is the last I am going to say on the matter, as it is against the CoC to have an argument in the open forum and I do not want to be moderated 🙂

    Good thinking!;)

‘You cannot have them – you are English!’

Sorry it’s off topic, but it reminded me of a letter I received from the Karl-Ernst Heinkel office in Stuttgart.

“Unfortunately I have to inform you that all the drawings of the Heinkel 70 A/D and G have been lost in the second world-war.
Very much to my regret I cannot help you in this matter”

Followed by a boldly scrawled, illegible signature.

I admit to being pleased that they bothered to reply.

I think it’s called ‘having an opinion’, or something like that. 😎

Nothing wrong with having an opionion, but allow me to put it another way.
I belong to two particular makes of car forums and to my knowledge, no one has ever joined either of them with the sole intention of criticizing those makes.

On this forum, I have almost no interest in Modern Military Aviation, so I don’t look in there.;)

There are myriad other discussions on this forum that are of no interest to me, but I would never consider posting negative comments on them for the sake of showing my displeasure or voicing an opinion that the OP wouldn’t want to hear.

IMO, if someone can’t help themselves or resist the need to post negative comments about any particular topic, having done so once, surely the best course of action is to ignore the thread in future, instead of continuing their attempts to wreck it?

Wasnt a complaint made it was simply an opinion.

Which was being left at that.

And yet here you are again, reading a topic about a subject that is of no interest to you?

Where’s that head scratching smilie when it’s needed?:D

I hoped that if I added a few clues, someone would take an interest again.
Mr Creosote left me dangling for a lot longer.

    Another clue or two:

The guy who built it, had made a flight in 1934 to Gambia in his earlier model.

He was assassinated, some say executed in Brazil in 1964.

    It was never amended.
