The F14 is definately behind compared to the 15’s and 16’s. I just made an assumption that they were using better missiles. Hey I’m giving your guys credit in the end.
they are obviously models and it’s possible that the builder just applied that paint scheme to an aircraft that would have actually wore it, models are never 100% accurate theres always something like the placment of guns and bumbs above wheel wells etc.
I’m a loooooooooooooong way from anywhere that has a decent airshow but earlier this year we did have one very few aircraft though. F18, F111, C130, PC9, BAE HAWK, ORION and some choppers. Didn’t get to see the F111 fly got rained out.
Look at the B26 it ended up with the lowest losses of all allied bombers in WWII, being peacetime (you could say), you have to give these things time and the ground crew need to learn how to maintain them properly before it’ll start getting heavy.
You yanks can’t be the best at everything. Selling dumbed down aircraft to other countries won’t mean much as the purchasing country will upgrade and whatever to their hearts content. Personally I would rather be an elite IAF WVR pilot than and elite USAF BVR pilot basically I think that a good pilot is one who comes out the winner in a dogfight. Maybe the reason IAF pilots are better is because the have to use inferior aircraft and weapons and pilots over there probably get a hell of a lot more hours in their aircraft. Plus I’m sick of American propoganda so my vote goes to the IAF for having the worlds best pilots.
I think they are both fly by wire I know the F16 is which means they are 9gs, as russian aircraft are not fbw they can be pushed further, I wonder what the g limits are for the F22 & F35 with those v style wings I imaging the airframe would stand up to quite a bit more stress.
I really don’t know but I remember when we got out first ever computer it had FA/18 Interceptor on it and I know for sure that I have definately been hooked since then.
