Oh boo hoo
I got a 3 pack Ploughmans Sandwich, a 750ml bottle of sprite and a twix for under £5 before my Newark flight @ EDI. Not all that ridiculous. The same thing (A drifter instead of a Twix though) cost me £7!!! at a petrol garage yesterday.
Anyway, there are people in the world that are lucky to get a meal once a day let alone ever 2 or 3 hours.
Be gratefull.
If you absolutely cannot go without food for 5 hours do what I’ll be doing tomorrow; pack some crisps, a choccy bar, a sandwich and a drink in your hand luggage and eat it at your leisure aboard the plane. Simple!
It was the Drifter that did it….

Spantax and spangles…. 2 words that bring the memories flooding back.
BHX on the Friday… 🙁 I’ve got a business to run
I fought the tug and the tug won…..!!!!
An escape route for Danairboy when he realises he has to sit next to common people????
How long before the corperates run the airports… The COCA-COLA TEES AIRPORT has a ring to it???
If I hadn’t got the kids I’d do it the interesting way.
BHX-EWR on CO 752, then down the east coast into MCO 😀
For the Kids a modern 747-400 would be the best choice.
However… if they are into aviation, perhaps your children would enjoy the chance to fly a classic… after all when they’re old enough to make the decisions themselves the 742 will be long gone from PAX service.
To be honest, I think the kids would prefer the PTV option, I’m probably selfish here as I’ve flown a classic but never a 400 :diablo:
A set of crayolas usually does the trick, My 2 eldest spent most of our last flight drawing the Air Malta A320 we were travelling on, they gave it to one of the attendants on the way off.
Do you have kids Danair? I have 3 under 8’s who regularly fly to ACE (4 hours) without a problem, they love flying and the older two are now into aviation, dumbfounding their mother the other day by looking up into the skies of Cannock and spotting a BA Avro!!!!
I think I’ll go for the 744…..
Depends when you are going, aren’t B744s being put on MAN-MCO soon?
When?
BTW…. Is there any difference in the PTV config? I have to think about 3 kids for 8 hours!!! Gameboys would be an advantage 🙂
I know…. Price is same but I still look back with nostalga on my Tristar and 1-11 (older aircraft) trips.
I get aircraft from the north heading for BHX come right over Cannock, also if I look higher we are directly underneath a southbound flightpath for aircraft from MAN.
