Some nice shots there
Nice shots. Good to see some from somewhere a bit different
Airbus has secured some orders from Kuwait. Alafco has ordered 12 A350s worth $2.9bn
Wasn’t that announced at Paris or is it a new order?
The EU have actually done some good for once 😉
Seriously though, some predictions
BA – Move ATL, DFW, IAH from LGW to LHR ASAP
AA – Move DFW from LGW to LHR ASAP. As for RDU, I suppose that depends where the pharmacutical companies want it to serve, so it may stay at LGW
UA – Probaby axe LHR-JFK and use the slot for LHR-DEN
CO – Try to get slots for LHR-IAH and EWR ASAP. Probably will keep some EWR flights and CLE at LGW in the long term
US – Wll probably want to move to LHR, but might not be a top priority
DL, NW – Will want to serve LHR but their financial situations might delay this for a while. In the long term I cant see these airlines at LGW
As for bmi, suppose MAN-ORD will go (or transfered to UA) and they will look to begin LHR-JFK/EWR/BOS/ORD/IAD/MIA/LAX/SFO. Tthey wil just need to find some planes somewhere
Also there will probably be extended codeshares between AA/BA, BD/UA and VS/CO
Belgium obviously means Brussels (SN Brussels take note).
One problem. They operate BRS-BRU. Doubt they would serve CWL as well with their limited fleet
Also I would like to see CWL grow. I want HUY too, so I would like other regional airports too as well
Its clear there is a potential for a regional airline to base at CWL since bmi baby and Air Wales are chopping and changing a lot and failing to relaise its full potential. Maybe something like
BRU, 2xDaily
CDG, 2xDaily
ORK, 1xDaily
BHD, 2xDaily
Would perhaps need a few more daytime routes to fill the schedule.
Perhaps Air Southwest will realise the potential if MAN and NQY do well?
Always good to see HUY flights doing well
Nice report BTW
Can I just say good luck to everyone involved in this project
