It was intended to be a discussion about how the same event can be perceived entirely differently.Apologies for being an air-head,I didn’t know this was meant to be the Brains Trust .
It is about different perceptions, I’ve never thought of tumbleweeds having brains! – how do they steer those things? 😀
Hi Frank – yes, you are right – you should be ashamed.

Hi Brian,
Here is a link for you to your first album.
http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/album.php?albumid=79
Just copy the address from your browser and click on the link icon on the message box and paste it in. Make sure that there is only one “http://” in the address.
I look forward to seeing more of these treasures.

Hi – thanks very much for that, glad you like them, somewhere I’ve got the old BOAC flying boats and one or two other odd ones, I was the proud owner of the Imperial Airways photo library for a short time, before I handed them to someone for a preservation society, who promptly vanished!! – trusting youth!!
Cheers Brian
Brian,
Without any kind of link to your pictures, or even clear instructions on how to access them, there honestly doesn’t seem to be much point to this thread.
Cheers
GA
Hi GA – will this work OK or is there a better way?
Cheers Brian.
Hi GA,
The problem is how do you set up an easy link?, I am too new to this to know, but some seem to have made it.
Cheers Brian.
How do we go to your photos? A small link would be most convenient! Photos from the 50s are always interesting!
Hi tenthije, try hitting on my name, this may lead you to them, or networks, please let me know how you get on.
Cheers Brian
Thanks BB, sorry frankvw, bad day, missed the joke, Anna – who’s Anna – lives next door to Alice?
Cheers Brian.

Agree re being close to off the topic! – meandering is the word! – the only person likely to be offended is Cees who wants a ‘shrubbery’, which is unlikely – the rest is too general to be of any offence – other than someone worried about using their own language in its proper context for fear of upsetting someone who like them cannot speak or understand it properly in the first place. Suddenly realised, should have asked this in the first place, are you a moderator?
Cheers Brian.

Can I just point out that whilst most cars have ‘wings’, being the bit of metal that appears at each corner, the VW Beatle mentioned earlier would definitely have Fenders. (Or Gibsons?)
A VW Beetle on the other hand…

Here we go again!! – casual misuse of the American Language!! – as I understand such matters from extensive reading of the Sam Malone Privet Eye series of American Literature (Hedgefund edition) – a ‘Gibson’ refers to a concoction of alcohol designed to entice a female suspect into a co-operative state of mind – which has nothing to do with German Beatles !!. It only goes to show how easy it is for these mistakes to be made and pass into folklore.:D
