I’d like to know which state he was in because he wouldn’t be in shirtsleeves working a tower in Scotland. The one I used was an aerial test tower of only about 100ft but it was regularly well below 0 degC taking wind chill into account. It’s been a while since I did that job so guess that 1760ft would take more bottle than I have right now. Maybe if I worked up to it!!

There’s another similar vid where a man is helo’d onto a powerline wearing a chainmail suit. anyone seen that ?

I don’t think I’d want to employ the same tradesman to rebuild that rockery. What a poor workmanship compared to the initial build.

Glenrothes seems to be quite active has a good cafe. Portmoak Gliding site is about 4 miles further on, just take the signs for Scotlandwell.

I must make my way down to see your Anson some time, I spent 17 years putting TX183 back together and did a fair bit on WD413 over the years too.

Sorry but rear ending was the best description I could come up with. Please accept my apologies if it clashes with any of your Sunderland habits. :diablo:

I watched a similar programme on NHK the other night, covering the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. Surprisingly, some of the younger people of today had heard of, but knew nothing, of Pol Pot. How time heals

Nearly mashing a fox on the way home – from 50mph to 20 in 0.5 seconds…!

Luckily, foxy woxy realised that the imminent impact might actually hurt, so he moved a bit sharpish!

Now Daz, if you had a big fat noisy oversized exhaust system like those Oiks, Foxy would have heard you coming. I rear ended a Seagull the other day if it’s any consolation. :p

Just to clarify myself. AGS, is Aircraft General Standards which covers BRITISH Aircraft Parts. There was nothing in the advert to suggest the stud shown was American AN, MS or NAS.
