Valiant BK.1 XD816, I don’t know if Steve got around to Chipmunk WP921/G-ATJJ so I gave it a fondle just in case, Barnes Wallis’ ‘Victory bomber’ model, and the ‘Hawker Snowblower’ featuring an Avon (probably from a Hunter F.1), 1940 period Austin K2 chassis, and a homebuilt cab for use at Dunsfold.

…but then I am also so sad that I spot squadron codes in vehicle number plates…someone please tell me I am not the only person who does this…

    Nurse!

Given my signature, it’s funny that my house number should be ‘109’

I found something similar on the grass by the Tank bank at Legends, except that it showed a Beaufighter & had ticks next to some of the pieces of airframe in the drawing!!

Yes, use the photos by all means. Sorry we couldn’t make it earlier, but we came as soon as the weather lifted.

    Kukri,

Your poem/text was written by Henry Scott Holland (1847-1918), Cannon of St Pauls’ Cathedral.

I picked up a copy when I was registering my father’s death.

The police arrested two drunks late one night, one thought he was a battery & the other thought he was a firework. They charged the first & let the other one off.

It wasn’t just Chipmunks, Steve had a thing about tyres too.
