I have posted a few more piccies at http://www.jhs.flyer.co.uk/Flyboys%20@%20RAF%20Halton/ for those who may be interested.

Edwardians in the dark anyone…
You think that was dark! It was night by the time the Pilot’s De-briefing was complete 😉

TE184 finally departed Halton for Duxford yesterday in the capable hands of Lee Proudfoot. She clearly didn’t want to leave sunny Buckinghamshire after so long and dug her wheels in initially but was persuaded to move again by some keen recruits.

Jeanne Frazer organises the Duxford displays. Does that count?
I have worked for a lot of display organisers over the years but I can safely say that none of them are administered with quite the degree of calm efficiency demonstrated by Jeanne.

I worked John Webb in the Blenheim through the Luton Zone on his way home last night. He kindly performed a fly-by along the Luton’s runway which was much appreciated by the Tower. Very sad to think that the flight ended in disaster a few minutes later but very relieved to hear nobody was hurt. Considering the the dedication and professionalism that have been shown by Graham Warner and John Romain in their endeavours in keeping an example of this historic and important type in the air, one can only say they have been exceptionally unlucky in what has happened to TWO impeccable restorations.
I wonder if anyone got a shot of the Spitfire flying through the rainbow or the Lysander with all lights blazing (including it’s new wing-tip nav. lights)?
We thought, at one stage, Trevor Roche was going to stay up forever – he was clearly enjoying himself in the Spit and put on a tremendous display.
LUSA News Agency says the aircraft was a T-6.
I was in the Tower all evening though and you didn’t come and see me, Moggy!
Just wondered in what way ATC messed around with the Hawk’s clearance?

Well I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I though the RAF element giving their forst displays of the year were excellent, particularly the Hawk who was messed around a bit by ATC with height clearances.
