Play now says it’s in stock and should be send out in 24hrs.
I’ll be there saturday, with a Fokker full of dutchies.
Will be coming in on Saturday with a charter, but we won’t land the Fokkers on Duxford like last year but instead go to Stansted.
Into a bus towards Duxford, to see al these lovely planes up close and flying.
Can’t wait…
Went Friday and the F/A-18 was indeed great. Pilot “Elvis” really rocked that jet 😉

More on KLu 2004 Volkel
I read his book earlier this year, he sounded like a great guy. RIP Col. Morgan.
Off to Holland…
Were I was waiting, came to my hometown for a flypast of the Lancaster Memorial.
Right on time she appeared:

Then she went on to land at the local airport, but was parked with her rear to the terrace. Which was full of people, so I didn’t stay long.
In this thread over at the Scramble forum is a passenger account of what happened. There were members of a Dutch Spotting group on the plane going to Dublin .
Can we also get the Dutch Connie?
Like last years JU52’s line-up.
I just found out the Lanc is coming to my hometown of Assen on May 5th.
I’ve never seen her fly before and would have seen her on RIAT this year for the first time, but now she’s coming to Holland.
May 5th is our libaration day and she will do a flight over our town and also over the Lancaster memorial of JB154.
I’m already getting excited and it’s still 2 months away 🙂
Great pictures. I just finished reading the book The Man Who Flew The Memphis Belle, which is a great book about the experiences of the pilot Robert Morgan.
