You haven’t seen my Israeli Air Force Lavi firing Phyton-3 over my table yet:D
Come on people, don’t be shy:)
Isn’t this made with Elbit?
Hey Bahnhaus, I hope it’s not too late to say hello, it just that I nearly never look in the GD forum.
🙂

Why did the israel helicopter squadrons was manned by the IAF instead of the israeli army. Most countries like the US manned their attack helicopters by army.
That’s becuase the structure of the IDF is much different from the one of the US military. We don’t have for example what you call Army, we got several forces with defined roles.
The F15I was a dedicated long range bomber, now the 102 F16I fitted with coporate fuel tanks adapted, so it flew similar long range actions as the Raam. Does the IAF going to ‘surprise’iran as they did to iraq’s nuclear site in 1981 again? That will a very daring move. After Libya give up ,only iran is qualify to be….
On that all we can say is Inch’alla:D
Does the Syrian AF has Flanker to challenge IAF? They may have a few in their fleet.
As far as we know, they don’t. Reports about Flankers in the Syrian Air Force has been discussed for serval times here, but they turned out to be false. In another case, Russian Flankers visited Syria for evaluation by the SAF, and were painted with Syrian Air Force scheme.
Erez,
While I’m kinda puzzled why you made a thread about the IDF/AF getting a new commander (let’s be honest….who really does care?), I must applaud your reaction to kfadrat……with the emphasis in that screen name being “rat.”
Well, the point of this thread was just for your general knowledge… when people would like to talk about Israel’s Air Force in the future, they might want to know who is the commander.
As for kfarrat, he is just an instrument in his own country’s propaganda.
Besides, if you don’t think Kfadrat is worth of any attention (after all, he’s Syrian and Arab and Muslem and whatever), then it would be nice if you shut up about him. In second AND third person postings, inch’allah.
In my opinion, he will always worthy of attention, but only when he will talk aviation here, inch’allah.
Well unfortunately it got a tail and as usual the defence mechanism is ready. Let us be straight even if it is an aviation forum and I am not an arab (and not even a fan of them). I very much like the IAF and do say that Israel should be recognized and left alone… etc. etc. But using high tech weapons to kill occupied people that should have the same rights… But only get the getto’s, there lebensraum is erased and their children and women treated as criminals and shot in open… What is missing.. Concentration camps… Nope. Only the gass chambers cause most of the pelestinians have seen prisons more then once. For what? I find the Zionistic ideas of putting jewish people above everything like nazism. So if you still think that the Palestinains are the bad guys that are that stupid that they throw rock to receive rockets in return or are that low that they blow themselfs inside busses. Do think about how bad the condition is where they are pushed in. It is so simple to say thatunderstand why the dog bites you if you put it in a very small chamber and give no food and water and kick it every few seconds. On the other hand defending that jews were treated bad during ww2 and getting cash from big forms… Tsss…. It may be not a aviation topic but somehow I tend to believe that we should think why Israel is allowed to have WMD a lot of high tech arms and still able to use their forces to terrorize (and thatis inclusive the AIR FORCE so it is aviation topic) the Palestinians and even eradicate their houses… In a western world after seing only Israeli side we should not start being pushy about the aviation part… If yuo gut the guts mr Erez… There are more then a few Israeli pilots who said the same (again aviation related). And do not come up with sponsering terrorism or being anti Israel… I am the last one being that.
As for the so called aviation related issues you brought here, Israel’s Air Force has the role of eliminating all people who are a threat to Israel, and doing that with the least amount of losses in civilian lives.
Let’s take for example the recent elimination of the old and sick person with the moderate view – Ahmed Yasin.
This creature has been teaching thousands of people this moderate view:
Palestine must be all over Israel, not next to Israel.
Now these thousands of people are joining Hamas, and become terrorists.
That’s what we call here cutting the head of the snake.
Now not only that we made sure this creature will never teach others his way and thus reducing the amount of terrorists who want to harm Israel, we have saved thousands of people in the Palestinian, that without the elimination of this person would have been finding their death either by making suicide bombings or while the IDF would have been fighting them.
Another succesful operation by the Israeli Air Force.
And that’s all I’ll say about it.
Ok, I got an English version:
http://www.idf.il/newsite/english/040104-2.stm
Here, I got the info about him on the IDF website. Sorry for the rest of you guys, it’s in Hebrew:(
And to Munir all I can say is this:
Ruch min un!:D
http://www.idf.il/newsite/hebrew/2004/april/shkedi.stm
he doesn’t react even when people start throwing bottles at each other, why should he bother now ???.
besides, PLA has got a VERY good point, let’s hope the new commander isn’t the cheap murderer the ones before him were .
no offense ment .
Kfadrat, you have absolutely no idea how much I would like to comment about these nasty words, but please, let’s keep it aviation, alright?
The official resume credits him with two kills from the 1982 war, but I don’t even know what squadron he served with, let alone what kills he scored. Should be interesting to find out (if that’s ok with munir, that is, otherwise we’ll just withdraw until he approves of our participation here )
He lately served in the Valley squadron.
And for the webmaster:
Why don’t you ever react when things are going off topic here?
Proud of your father Erez ?
At least my father doesn’t sit all day in the living room:D
You got a new commander? Who cares?
Hey, what’s that approach?
I hope that the IAF will be no longer used to erase persons. Terrrorist or non terrorists. The Palestinans are the victims of occupation and act terroristic but for their freedom. The Israeli state is occupier. And personally I find the politics not important but blowing up an old man with moderate view shows that this airforce has blood on his hands.
Get a life man. This is an aviation forum. A-V-I-A-T-I-O-N!
——————————————————————————–
I’ve posted it so people would know. This is a military aviation forum, and Israel is quite a common topic, with all due the respect. Just thought you might want to know.
You are obviously not good at Lying or fabricating!!
But I am!:D
This is what I did. from “Janes”:D
Israel to reconsider Lavi fighter jet
By Kenneth Katzman
Washington, DC
According to Israeli officials, Israel’s cabinet is considering reviving the Lavi fighter jet, that has been cancelled in 1987 due to American pressure and lack of funding.
The Lavi, that was jointly developed by the US and Israel in the mid 80′, was later seen by the US as a threat to its own aviation industries, and therefore made sure this promising fighter jet will be grounded, though the Lavi’s prototype’s performances were excellent.
Years later, the Lavi’s cancellation proved, by many aspects, to be a wrong decision.
What made Israel to reconsider the development of this fighter jet is the fact that the American made JSF fighter jet’s development has been delayed for several times, and Israel will need, in the next few years, a replacment for its ageing F-16A/B “Netz” fighters. This replacement should have, officialy, be the new F-16I “Sufa”, but it is now known that the 102 “Sufa”s Israel ordered can not replace all of the fleet of the ageing “Netz”, as well as the F-4 2000 and Skyhawk fighter-bomber jets. Ironically, that was exactly the rule of the Lavi.
The Israeli official, which called himself Major R., said that “the Lavi’s airframe was and still is good. The main problem is the avionics, but these can be replaced quite quickly. We believe that ending the development and production of the Lavi might be cheaper than an American alternative.”
Officialy, both the US and Israel had denied this news, yet one must consider that Israel had denied many news and information about its military, that later on proved to be true.

😀 😀 😀
#10-F-4, F-104, Kfir, the F-16-79, B-58, A-5, RA-5, and this even though it’s not an aircraft
The Kfir got only one J-79.:)
LOL… I did exactly the same thing in an Israeli forum, I said that Israel is reconsidering the Lavi project, only that I made it look more reliable:D
…. and this one just called VSTOL F-1 test 252:
Looks quite similar to the F-15:rolleyes:
