The point of this thread is technical stuff discussed, Sams etc.

and can we keep it non-political? I dont care what Israelis or palestinians or iranians think of each other..r… why start the most controversial political discussion??? keep it millitary ok..thanks

I understand, and I was talking about some technical details.
BTW, I think the Iranians are good people. I just “dislike” the regime. I’m sure you all know how good allies we were in the past.
BTW#2, Did you know we even offered them to develope the Arye with us?
And look what’s happening now. It’s truly sad.:(

That’s funny, I live pretty close to both Nahal Sorek and Palmahim… I heard at least one UAV last month, and Israeli UAVs don’t fly in the center of Israel, except in Gaza… I even got to see it’s lights, and it was flying extremely low and slow, but it was at night so…

Well, looking at it from a political perspective I can’t see how Israel could launch an attack now given the recent Iran signature under the nuclear non proliferation treaty.

    Right…
    You know what?
    I don’t eat this $hit.:p
Really, If they will stop what they are doing now so yes, we will be happy and won’t attack. But given the fact that the work on these facilities continues, I just don’t trust them… what can I do…

What’s the point of this thread?
Israel will have to destroy these facilities. We are talking about life and death here.
It’s only a question of time until we’ll see videos of F-15Is over Tehran. We may suffer some losses. The Iranian Air Force has F-14s for example, and some MiG-29s. It will be different from the 1981 attack on Iraq. They’re Air Force started shooting only after our airplanes finished the job. I trust it won’t be the same this time. Iran is far more clever than that.
Too bad we came to this situation. We could have been best friends:D

    I.e.: and the Lavi looks like an F-16;

You want me to say you are right?
OK, you are right. They share similar intakes for example. It will be wrong to say that they aren’t similar in some ways. I bet the IAI engineers had a good look to that intake and saw that it is very good at high alpha angles, and the Lavi needed that kind of an intake.
But let’s not get into it. We are now talking about the J-10.

GD, what’s the metter with you?
    I was just being sarcastic.
Besides, you can’t really say that two seater J-10 doesn’t look like a Lavi.
And frankly, I don’t care what you think about the Lavi and the Lavi-J-10 connection. I’ve been studying about it for more than a year. I have many archive articles dating since 1994 about the J-10/F-10 and what we had to do with it. Don’t you remeber David Ivri confirming that we are “assisting China with military aircraft technologies”?
I do. And please, I don’t want to divert this thread to flaming.

Not stunning, but a beautiful picture I scanned few weeks ago from a book I found in the library and non of you has seen before.
There’s nothing like the good old Lavi. This picture was taken from the back cockpit of the Kfir TC2 that was escorting every flight of the Lavi.
I had to reduce the quality a bit.
    Hope you like it:)

Erez is a name of a tree that usually grows in Lebanon, and it was mentioned in the bible as the tree from which Soloman’s temple was built from.

Since I’m a man you should be saying Ma Shlomkha, not Shlomekh… looks like you got a girl in Israel…:D
I’ll start learning physics next year and my plan is to be aeronautical engineer and work in the IAI in the future, right after I’ll retire from the Air Force 😎

ehehhe, cool design, I can see the Israeli Markings. Wasn’t the Lavi a delta canard design?

Yeah… The Shachatz suppose to be IAI built, and they have experience with the canard delta layout.
