They are one of the world leaders in Sub design, they built the three Israeli Dolphin’s and those are magic little machines!

I ment how reliable are they as a partner.
How reliable is HDW? What was the last scam about . All I remember is there was a 64 Crore Kickback. But if I remember right HDW sold south africa the same design that was sold to India a thing they were not supposeed to do.
Saw the SARAS fly
Maybe non-military, but guys I saw the SARAS flow over my head on its first official flight the other day. Had just finished a night shift and gone down for some coffe when saw it fly over head . It was quite low and chased by another aircraft(not a fighter) . I didnt realise it was the first official flight. Thought it had flow quite a while back so didnt pay all that much attention(and maybe I was sleepy to 😉 ). Realised it only when I saw it on the news. It looked pretty cool. Though they need to change that yellow colour :p
Excellent Site! The CVF going to be a super carrier. I wonder what the French are going to do in response………….
———————————————————————-
Wasnt there talk of the French tying up with the British to build their next carrier so as to draw on experience and bring down costs at the same time?
Not a single post!!!!!!!!! 😡
Well the Russians the Indians could have called the bluff about the Mig-29’s but then they would have had to say bye bye to the Akula’s :D:D:D 😛 The Akulas were tied to the whole deal . Gorshkov might be a lemon(which it isnt- its going to be a powerful addition to the Indian Ocean) according to many but the Aukulas make it worthwhile 😀
Theres no info on the U-214 there wolf.
Well that surprises me- the small no of Chinese uptodate vessels that is . Thought that the Chinese navy was far bigger. They seriously need a decent no of Ocean going vessels.

New Delhi, July 16, 2004 (IANS)
The Indian Air Force (IAF) would phase out its Russian-made MiG-series of jets between 2006 and 2017, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Thursday.
“The IAF is in the process of phasing out the MiG-21, MiG-23 and MiG-25 fighter aircraft depending on the calendar life/total technical life of the aircraft,” he said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
“These aircraft will be phased out from service between 2006 and 2017.”
The jets would be disposed of according to laid down procedures when they were no longer airworthy, he said.
Mukherjee did not say when the IAF’s MiG-27s and MiG-29s would be phased out.
Over the past few years, the MiG-21s were involved in a series of crashes, killing both pilots and civilians on the ground.
The IAF has drawn up plans to phase out older versions of the MiG-21, which first entered service with the force in 1964, over the next few years. At the same time, it is upgrading 125 newer variants of the MiG-21 to keep them flying till the end of the decade.
The IAF is also inducting new aircraft like the Su-30s, 140 of which will be built under licence in the country.
Yep Indian needs submarines and fast , specially of the nuclear kind.
Any of you have any idea where to get the force magazine. Is it out on bookstands or is it available only through subscription. I know I know u have the correspondent who everyone loves to hate there 😛 But just want to check it out.
Oh now you have converted it into a “Purchased” category? When did the purchase take place?
Hmmm now watch the Indian indeginous system gathering steam. Anyone have any idea on when it will be out?
Which is the Schuka B and which is the Akula?
Well didnt mean the timeline to be 2004- was talking about the future coming to the end of the local production of the MKI .
