Good Day!
Tks for the info/data again. We have found out along the way that FAS FG-1Ds wore many schemes during their service years. This could be one of them. FAS 210 was not a player during the ’69 war.. except as a decoy with other cousins at the FAS boneyard with a dark blue scheme. We’ll keep digging! Tks.

Greetings across the Pond!
Nice find again! Tks. These FAS FG-1Ds with yellow schemes keep emerging fm the deep fm time to time!! What did the Valka.CZ Folks said in the caption/forum of the above sample? may I ask?? This looks like a fresh “gull grey” type. Thank you again. We are getting a bit closer to the FAS 201 .. a lot closer than the Burma Spitfires!! -)
FG-1D FAS 201 Folks:
Good day!
Digging a bit deeper in the pyramids!
How FAS 201 actually looked during May ’57 after the ground loop accident. This L/side view of the R/Elevator & R/H Horizontal stab shows no damage to that particular area. This may also indicate that this was a poss ground damage done afterwards. Photo Via Brian Baker.

Greetings across the Pond! & happy 2015!!
Tks for the info & data. I think we’re getting somewhere with FAS 201. The pic below is how the poss FAS 201 looked at the IPMS 1st Prize Championship in Europe. c. 2003. A guy fm Cyprus, Greece nicknamed “Misko” won that price. If you have any info of his winning model(s) or other photos plz post. Tks in advance.
Ground Loop Folks:
Good Day!
Following up on the in & outs of the FG-1D FAS 201 a fellow Wixer (prob a pilot) happens to mentioned that by looking at the pic below and the damage done to the R Elevator & H/Stab that it may questionable such a damage coming fm a ground loop incident.
p.s I’d like to hear fm some tail wheel pilots about their experiences & comments about ground loop accidents/incidents also. Tks in advance.

Good day! Tks for the info & data.
Great capture believe or not! The Spanish caption is misleading since we know now in Dec 2014 that FAS 201 was an FG-1D (Goodyear Type). Plz ck your pm.

That’s it! nice picture indeed. It’s also apprx the same time frame/era of the smaller pic above. Do the mentioned encyclopedia has any notes or captions about the drawing itself?? Where, what, who, when, name or artist. Most of all, do the drawing origin/represents fm an original picture?? Tks in advance.
p.s Do you have a copy of the article itself??

FAS 201 Color id/Help:
Good day Folks:
Would like to ask for an expert opinion of the IPMS folks of this group & the B/w folks on the picture of FAS 201 below. I’d like to know if you happen to see diff colors (not shades) between the color seen/used at the rudder & the vertical stab. Tks in advance.
