Sorry it was a quick reply…. Now that I have reread your post, I see what you meant by it. Cheers.
Really no problem at all.
I admit I’m not always very understandable with my replies.
Archangelski, I think he was referring to the false canopy painted on the underside. Canadian CF-18’s are known to do that.
Hi Voodoo, I only say that’s an Italian AV-8B and not a Spanish one.
For the rest of my reply, I must admit that the joke is not as good as I thought at first.

Q-5L Fantan pilot from Myanmar. Based on raw looks she could be just a model, really hard to say..[/IMG]
It does not matter, even if she does not pilot, I will fly away with her when she wants. :love-struck:
Hi All,
What about one aircraft pretending to be another ? Spanish Harrier that thinks it’s really an F-18 :highly_amused:
Geoff.
Hi 1batfastard,
It’s a Harrier II+ of Italian Navy (see green-white-red roundels) or, maybe, a Spanish F-18 that thinks it is an Italian AV-8B.:)
Technically isn’t that an F-15B? (Or was it a D?)
I know it’s the E prototype…….just wondering which model it was actually built as.
Love the picture though!
It’s T2, the second of two “Category 1” test aircraft, seen in the mid-1980s while serving as Strike Eagle demonstrator. Official designation of the aircraft is TF-15A (F-15B-4-MC), code-number 71-0291. It faced the General Dynamics F-16XL (“F16E”) during the 1984 competition for the U.S. Air Force long-range interdiction airstrike fighter replacement for the aging F-111 Ardvark. It is depicted here with a warload of twenty Mk20 Rockeye bombs and four AIM-9L Sidewinder.
It carried the newly developed “type 3″ or CFT (conformal fuel tanks), but was not equipped with the M-61A1 20mm internal canon. Also seen here is it’s ” Europe One” paint scheme, which has not been adopted by operational F-15E. External ordonnance is painted to blend in with the aircraft.
