with the Chad roundel the blue part is facing the fuselage, The Czech roundel, the blue is facing forward.
Really prefer the old one (personal opinion).
As Etienne stated, too similar to Czech one and too confusing. They could be more inventive. 😀

Hi to you all
On 25- 08 – 2009 I made an update to my webside with roundels. It was the Chad update with the then new roundel. So nothing new under the sun!
Before you post issues about roundels you should take a look here: http://www.drareg.nl/Markeringen/index.html. And yes, I know its in Dutch and I am translating it into English but that will take more than a year as I have little time to do so.
Greeting from the Netherlands
Gerard
We learn everyday.
Thanks from nowhere for your website link.
Looking forward to seeing in English

Note the yellow on the roundels that matches the color on the fin flash.
It’s no more a mystery, it’s an enigma. :highly_amused:
New roundel but, at least, 4 years old.
Thanks Gkozak for the new picture and the roundels sheet.
For info : I found the forum where I had seen this particular picture before.
Here’s the link (the post #281 is dated 19/11/2009) :

The mystery deepens.

that’s often the case when looking for good photos from the USSR in the 1950s, 1960s – cameras and good film were harder to come by those days (but it’s actually true for most countries as well).
Some interesting photos from the same era here (if not quite what you want):
missiles.ru was (and still is) a good source of images or informations for me. And I agree with you for pictures of Soviet missiles of the fifties or sixties.
But there are (thankfully) often some good pictures when these missiles had operational career, like SSN-1 (I have plenty ones of other missiles of this period and ” Щука” was not, strictly speaking, a secret missile as might have been a strategic ballistic missile of this era).
Thanks anyway for the time you spent for me.
Thanks a lot for the answer but, unfortunately for this missile (” Щука” КСЩ), only mediocre or bad pictures as always. The “Сопка” views are better but more easy to find.
To believe that this missile has never been faced with a good camera.:apologetic:
