Yes. it’s Bulgarian MLA. One (TU-VCH) is former #204, the other one is unknown..

The other ex Bulgarian MLA is the former 219.
Both are/were impounded in Togo.
Thanks to both for clarifications.

Yes, indeed it doesn’t, the export model does not have the vortex generators nor the dogtooth. The visual difference is the extra pair of dielectric apertures on the wing glove leading edge (bigger inside ones, white coloured- they are for SPO-15LE RWR). There are two on each glove on MLD whether russian or export while only one each on previous models (ML, MF etc.)
Ok, thanks for info, but seems that MiG-23ML of Syrian and Libyan AF (which are export 23-19B models), and sometimes labelled as MLAE, have also these “new” dielectrics. As is often the case, difficult to compare different versions when only minor details are visible.
The D of “MLD” stands for доработанный, then I always thought that they were clearly noticeable modifications.
Syrian :
PS: I’ve finally found an article describing the Izdeliye 23-22A (Bulgarian model) and it’s particularities, as compared to 23-19B of Syrian AF. Thanks.
Actually export MLD, might be ex-bulgarian one. Can’t recall who was supposed to be the final recipient , but i think they were impounded in Ivory Coast or something like that.
The model in the picture doesn’t seems to have neither the distinctive “dogtooth/sawtooth” at the wing root nor the pitot boom equiped with vortex generator of an MLD. Then, if this one is ex-Bulgarian, it’s probably an MLA (for me, but can be wrong).

227 doesn’t look like an Argie serial. My bet is on Uruguay AF.
Bet is correct.

I know this beach well. The beach ball by the pier is a giveaway.
The movie is superb on the eye candy. Makes for a decent flick no matter how bad the storyline and acting turned out to be. Would like to see a TOP GUN 2 with the same sky choreographer having access to worldwide locations.
The two movies have, at least, a common point : full access to warplanes and bases given by air forces leaders.
That give superb views of warbirds for some sort of military promotional movies.
Never mind, the delight in the pictures is priceless.
