28NM, I guess.

Nice, with “Mickey” nose modified (missiles guidance radar is missing) and some “new” or displaced stuff.
PC-21 is not only an ab-initio trainer (and in fact very expensive for that task except if you want to teach tactics, flight systems etc. Before deep handling learning but that is another topic). It is a highly sophisticated training plane with extensive simulation capabilities etc. The only thing it is missing is RL speed… (although it can emulate it, up to 4 vs 4 engagements). Way too expensive?
When I said ab initio trainer for PC-21, it was, I assume, a little bit far from what I really thought.
I prefer to imagine the way to go from “basic” training in SR-10, then Yak-130 and, finally, on two seat trainers, like Su-27UB, ….
Finally, SR-10 is not really far from performances (minus the speed) of a PC-21.
And why do they need another Yak-131.
Its interesting for export possibly, but it does not do as much as the Yak-131.
3 tiers of trainers is enough in my eyes.
4 levels of trainer seems over kill.
Not really in same class of performance than the Yak-130, but why not a high performance ab initio trainer, like PC-21, in place of the too conservative Yak-152 ??
I really find the Yak-152 uninteresting…(personal view)
Off-topic, but I thought it would be interesting to compare the effectiveness of a strike on some supposed IS facility with guided bombs by NATO forces.

Difficult to compare if you don’t know what is targetting.
nice. The rearward looking kiwi is already on my website.
Sorry, I have not seen it…:apologetic:
I love those fictional movie roundels. Maybe I will make a page on my website with those. So let them come
I hope you don’t have these… (movie “Iron Eagle”) :

For Gerard and his colection of unexpected roundels : (I was recently on a RNZAF site) :

Nice pictures, but I really love the caption of this one…for a Mi-35 (export Mi-24V)
hmmm… I guess you’re right. It is the 1921 version
Learning every day!
Other pictures found on the same site with those old SAAF roundels :

COOOOLLLL!! but according to Wikipedia this was used 1915 to 1921, after that the RAF roundel was used.
You could be right Gerard. Difficult to say because it’s a B/W picture. According to some sources (http://www.saairforce.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5485), from December 1920 (first roundel on SAAF aircraft) to December 1921 the roundel was (from center) Orange, Green, Red and Blue. From 1921 to 1927, the roundel was (from center) Green, Orange, Lemon, Yellow and Blue…
For the fun : James Bond “Die another day” :
