4th PAK-FA flying prototype will have full serial AESA radar.

Prototype of radar on the T-50-3, serial radar on the T-50-4.

That’s not “rust” …most likely hidraulic fluid stains

It is a consequence of increased pressure in the hydraulic system of T-50.
    T-50: 34.3232MPa or 350kgf/cm2
    for comparison
    F-22: 29.4199MPa or 300kgf/cm2

Your information did not come true Where is T-50-2 ?

We were waiting T-50-1 for several years, so wait T-50-2 a few days.

T 50-2 had to fly in November 2009 and still it is not fly.

    Ha-ha, what are you smoking?

Is it just me or has the 51 allready started to rust??

It is a leakage of hydraulic oil.

Well if so we can at least conclude the T-50-1 has no value as PR show pice for the Russians. Only meant to fly and test things. Rusty or not.

    Brilliant definition. Without irony.

And it’d also be safe to assume the body hasnt recieved any form of RAM-coating yet.

Obviously, because it is the first plane designed exclusively for flight testings.

I’m surprised the AESA is going straight to T-50-03 & 04 without testing aboard a flying lab first- but good to hear there’s been no major problems thus far.

Radars for the Su-34 and Su-35 were tested on the flying labs on Tu-134 base. There is no reasons to believe that new AESA will not be tested in the f/l too.

Third aircraft is probably to get ready early next year. The forth prototype can be the production ready version if everything goes ok.. and the fifth one should be fully operational

No, T-50-2, 3 and(probably) 4 will enter to flight tests in this year.

Why don’t they just do that AESA upgrade for Su-27SM

Because all of the Su-27’s is very old and their life at the end, it makes no sense to upgrade.

    and Su-35

Because the development of AESA is not yet complete, but PESA is ready.

Would be a tad bit better than PESA Irbis.

Irbis is most powerful radar in the world after AN/APG-77. Target detection range about 400 km. If the new AESA is more powerful, it is not much (including the obvious advantages of AESA)
