I just discovered that a Swedish car programme did a similar stunt. As you can see in this pic the Gripen has just came out of the hairpin bend and is showing that its straight line speed is superior to cars at low levels. :p Points to anybody who can ID the car and what its top speed is.Extra points to the person who buys me one.

As someone born, raised and living in Belfast I think i have the right to use the “Us Irish people” line in whatever way I want, including jest, and as with all Irishmen and women I have every right to act like an “eejit” and you don’t have a right to go using words like eejit if you aren’t Irish. There is absolutely no need to call anyone a dummy for a couple of simple grammatical errors.Simply pointing out that there were two mistakes is enough and not resorting to insulting the authors’s (and yes that is the correct way to use the apostrophe there because the apostrophe denotes multiple ownership) work in the magazine.
Also if you are so particular about grammar I suggest fixing your spelling and grammar in the previous post and not attempt writing whilst angry because you don’t seem to be able to handle two things at once.
Thank you Taj, I saw it in your IMO post aswell. I will try to find a copy in Belfast on Saturday

That way too harsh Yellow Sun.No need to attack a couple of points of grammar.Us Irish ppl dont speak with best grammar at times. At least someone got up the balls to make a magazine about aviation in their own country and its going to be a toughone to write becuase of the limited scope.Well done to them for taking a chance.

Top Gear like their silly stunts. They did a similar thing before with a Sea Harrier, and they shot a car off one of the carriers, somewhere of Portugal if I remember rightly.I don’t care if it is a stunt or not.It looked fantastic and we got some great shots of an Apache maneuvering at low level. I get the feeling though that the British military like Top Gear and enjoy sending them stuff to play with.Thats one each from the FAA and AAC. Wonder what the RAF are going to send now?

Looks a lot like a Hornet mated to a delta wing IMO.The front fuselage in the pic is very Hornet like.Especially in the second pic.If it was twin engined it would be even more so.I’m probably the only one seeing that though.

    Never mind your scribblings:p
What your model collections like? Finely sculpted aircraft
I’ve got a few of Corgis Aviation Archive line, diecast in 1:144 scale aircraft including one very rare model of a Vulcan from the Black Buck raids. The collection is

    Avro Lancaster
    B17-Memphis Belle
    Shorts Sunderland
    RAF C47 with D-day stripes
    B29 Enola Gay
    Tupolev Tu-4
    Avro Vulcan
    Handley Page Victor
AC130H Spectre in the gray cammo
Bristol Britannia in A&AEE paint scheme
B52D which is the latest, just got it yesterday.

I got some from TK Maxx of all places and the rest of ebay and various model shops on the internet and just got the B52 from Corgis own site.
Its about £250 worth, though the Vulcan cost about £90 of that due to its rarity (its no. 1111 of 2500 issued)
