I wouldn’t have thought this would make any difference, Tommy. Most aircraft are only on the ground for 1-2 hours. I would guess it’s just the luck of the draw.
I’ve just phoned Alitalia again and they have informed me that there have been some computer problems and flights have been showing as full even if they are not. I have been advised to check back next week. As I suspected then, this was a computer glitch. Thank goodness for that as I really want to get on the E-170!
The schedules are back up for MAN this winter but the flights aren’t bookable. Very strange. I rang Alitalia last night and all they said was that there were no flights scheduled. I suspect a computer glitch but can not be sure.
06R is normally only used for arrivals. I’ve never seen departures off that runway. Similarly, 24L is normally only used for departures although I did see them using it for arrivals a few weeks ago. I havve no idea why since I had never seen it used before and have not since.
Both runways are normally in use until around midday. Single runway operates until around 15:00 to 15:30, at which time the second runway opens again. This is how it normally works and all times are approximate.
I agree with both of you about advice. I have only ever posted on set of pictures on here shortly after I got my new camera. They were unedited as I have no idea how to successfully edit pictures. The only responses I got were “cool pics” type replies which did not help me at all. Maybe once all this is sorted out, I’ll post some more and hopefully get told straight if they’re c**p and how I can improve them.
