Love the 777 Sandy. Also I agree that New Economy on a 757 would be just as good on a 330 (if not better because at the end of the day, its a 757!)

If you check the schedules on Continental.com it shows a daily 762 and 757. Sounds good to me!

I enjoyed my flights with bmibaby. Both on time & the crew on the outbound sector were brilliant.

I receive PM complaints on a daily basis about the “bickering” from various contributors, some of whom have indicated their intention to take their “opinions” elsewhere.

This is exactly the situation that developed pre-mods when valued members and particularly those with real insights into the industry threatened to walk if action was not taken.

I’ve been extremely lenient up until now concerning the amount of GLA V EDI arguments that have spung up. Unfortunately it’s time something was said.

GLAsgow as Silver Snapper often points out has a “track record” of involvment in these discussions/arguments/slanging matches across many forums not just this one, so too has Silver Snapper. Having witnessed some of their postings across other sites, I’m not prepared to, sit around and let their parochial indulgences marr this forum, particularly when as I say valuable contibutors are PM’ing me threatening to leave.

And Bmused55, yes we all have opinions and “bickering” as you describe it is fine. As ever it goes beyond “bickering” and so often turns into a trading of insults with guilty parties from both sides of the argument denying it’s got anything to do with them and ” I didn’t start it guvnor” excuses and absolution of blame.

There’s nothing I like more than hearty discussion about any airport, especially the one’s on my doorstep. Attempts by certain members to wind each other up however will continue to invoke my powers of moderation. AS I’VE SAID IN THE PAST FEW DAYS… It’s an aviation forum, not a soap box or the latest venue for a local argument between rival camps.

If that seems harsh then, elect another moderator.

I have to say Ren I’m 100% behind you.

Yes let’s have some good discussions but for those of us who live outside the EDI/GLA world, it can get quite tedious. I’m from Swansea so could constantly go on about how Cardiff is better than Bristol because CWL has 747ยดs to Sanford (just as an example) but I don’t. This is partly because I think Cardiff is the biggest sh**hole of an airport in the UK ๐Ÿ˜€ but also because I see no need in starting childish “mine’s better than yours” arguments.

This is exactly what the moderators were put in place for so well done Ren and thanks for trying to keep this forum as good as it should be. Keep up the good work!

A wonderful shot Ren. The classic BY livery on the 757 is one of my favourite combinations.

I agree that it’s sad to see such a fantastic aircraft go out of production. I have been on many 757s, mainly to and from Rhodes, and have loved every second of the flights. The take off is just so powerful. I hope to get many more rides on this wonderful aircraft fo years to come.

That is a stunning shot. You would have been in trouble if it hadn’t got off the ground though wouldn’t you ๐Ÿ˜€
