For the first production LCA flew? Quick question on the previous TDs and PVs … has any of those prototypes flown with any external stores aside from the two dummy aams? I mean, after 658 some odd flights, how much longer till the fbw is fully tested? Or is the lsp-1 supposed to take over that function? How many +/- gs has the LCA been tested up to or is that info not available yet?

It would be good too if there is no more C-130Js for indian special forces or the P-3C Orions there were floated some time ago. Similarly, the Harpoon is not a good choice for the indian navy and so on and so forth.

as far nuclear technology is concerned, a country only depends upon or get foreign technologies cant be a partner in ITER, they are not fool, they know what is the capabilities of partner countries. this is one example only…

i dont know how Russia comes in this discussion…they built some nuclear reactors for India as like US, Canada but what is the realtion of that with India’s nuke programmes….Do you know anything what you are talking about…just go to DAE,BARC,IIPR,TIFR websites, learn what they have developed, everything is public here….

and about russia “helping” india in Brahmos and Su-30, is it a back-door deal? or it voilates international rules??!! I dont have any question about JF-17. Brahmos is joint venture company of DRDO and NPO Mash, to jointly develop various versions of a supersonic cruise missile for army, navy and air force of both countries and for third countries.

But giving nuke and long range ballistic missile to a country which didnt even developed a bus engine indegenously (they do have long range ballistic missile but could not develop a SLV, why? because they cannot be used against India) In public, PRC giving every tech from ships(F-22P) to fighters (JF-17) with ToT but the other things……think yourself….anyway good strategy…..:D

‘go QQ’ implies go cry some more, just fyi u know … wait you did that already.

Maybe it’s been already mentioned before, but what components on this aircraft are genuinely of Pakistani design/origin? PAF seem to be very proud of this bird, they surely have a reason.

    P.S. No flames, pls.

I don’t know, but maybe you could research what all the components are in this bird, aside from lets say the engine and the ejection seat, and give us a better idea as well
Aside from that, I can point towards a couple of reasons for PAF to be proud of JF-17 … it will be the first fighter aircraft that will be produced in-house; it shows PAF’s investment into a project bear fruit, even with all the naysayers over the years; will replace older generation aircraft and give a great booast to PAF operationally

Would be better to have Italy build 20 or some odd 129s while production line is setup in Turkey. Even leasing from their Army could be an option.

Training on flight sims is getting more widespread nowadays. As of date there is no planned twin-seat F-22 either or F-35 that I know of. If FC-1 does get a twin-seat version, I am sure it will be optimized for strike roles more so then being relegated as a trainer.

Isnt the primary role for the Taiwanese fighter anti-shipping? Aside from political aspects of the engine in FC-1, I think the question is in regards to performance, keeping everything else equal.
I would think some of our Chinese members would be more familiar with both types, but the general consensus from what I have read is that F-CK-1 is underpowered for its role. In terms of avionics/radar its anyones guess since PAF has not finalized its package. However, it has color MFD displays even in the Chinese version. Its radar is based on F-20 technology. F-CK-1 does have the benefit of better weapon integration so far, but again its been in service for 18 years almost.

Also why cant they stick a cruise missile onto the SRBM’s and make them longer ranged?

Stick a ‘cruise’ missile onto a ‘ballistic’ missile. Very interesting … you might be onto something

Since all the Indians here know for sure that Babur is a Chinese missile in Pakistani colors, so to speak, kindly show my EVIDENCE to back up your claim specifically in regards to this cruise missile, else shut the hell up

Since this thread has been hijacked after all, lets see the “super power’s” figures as per World Bank:

    “Poverty (at $1 a day, 2000, PPP): 35%
    Fertilityrate 2004:3 births per woman
Average life expectancy at birth (1998-02): 63 years
Infant mortality (per 1000 live births, 2004): 62
Maternal Mortality (per 100,000 live births, 2001):540
    Child Malnutrition (below 5 years, 1998): 47%
    Primary school enrollment, net 2004: 87%;
    Female Adult literacy 2000-04: 47.8%
Access to improved water source 2001: 86%
Access to improved sanitation facilities 2002: 30%”

India’s PPP per Capita is ranked at 120 or 124th, depending if you go by IMF or CIA World Factbook. Some superpower indeed. On top of that, you are comparing India’s economy to Pakistan to justify its epeen (pun intended) status lol. So yes … I will be laughing the Indians posts here.

Every Tom Nick and Harry and “USS Novice” amongst others will now want to flame this thread as they can’t stand going back to their gooky Indian threads and its trail of failures. I would like to invite independent viewers to just look at the bottom of the thread at any given time and the nicks that are spending time viewing this thread. Its really fun to see the inferiority complex. Grow up and grow out of your Freudian insecurities. 🙂

Couldnt have said it better myself
