lol, I presume that was joke, right? 😀
No, i can’t remember the whole story and i can’t find the issue but in Airliner World about two issues back it mentioned that Virgin Nigeria was flying an Airbus A318 to Nigeria from Blackpool. If i’m wrong i apologise but i’ll try and find the story.
Hey there, don’t forget Virgin Nigeria flying between Blackpool and Nigeria. Well thats what i think i remember.
Have you seen the photos from St Maartens airport. They are even more impressive……………well i think so anyway.
I wouldn’t know Jack S*** but as a guess is it Blackpool? 😮
LFC. I know he was on aircraft because in the fist picture you can see the shadow of the wing but it almost looks like he is outside the aircraft kneeling down because he is so low.
Great Shots. I enjoyed those.
It’s a public footpath area, there is a slope which goes up so you can see the whole airfield and be next to the runway. As long as you have a car it’s easy to get too, only a 5 minute walk from where you park.
The few times I’ve been it’s been quite busy with people, does indeed get you close to the action, if 24L is in use for take-offs.
Cool. Is it a must in your opinion?
Thanks Guys 🙂
SCFC, I was indeed on Southside, and what is it like? Well, there’s never many people there, you get very close to the action at certain times, but only go there if your prepared to go on a long walk…
Is it an, out of bounds to the public area, or not?
Nice pics. I take it you were at the southside of the airport. Could you describe what it is like there please?
Directions to southside:
Exit the M56 at J6 (sighposted freight terminal) and head towards the viewing park. Instead of turning in to the viewing park, carry on and you’ll pass through 2 tunnels. At the round about, take your first left and park just around the corner on the lane. You’ll see the runway at the top of the hill. You have access to the full length of 24L/06R.
Ahh. I know where you mean now. But isn’t that one for emergency vehicles only and out of bounds to the public?
Hope you enjoy my few from todays wee outing; the weather was a bit strange first thing, was a touch misty and murky.
Rgds
Andy
Wilag. Some nice pictures there. But i have not known of any southside to the airport to do aviation spotting. I know of T1 car park and the aviation viewing area. Could you describe how to get to the aviation site either coming from Wilmslow or the Motorway/aviation centre direction?
Grey Area. Those are some pictures. May i ask what type of camera it is?
I captured it at 06R Touchdown at 10:18am apparently but I don’t know if my clock on my camera is right…
Nice pics Matt!
That early, huh. As i mentioned i saw one on final approach at about 5.00pm ish. Is it BA that operates them. It seems that they fly regularly
Just out of curiosity, what type of camera, make and model do you have?
