Following my posting of this quest elsewhere.:o;..the suggestion seems to be G-WATR…which I suspect could well tally with our sighting..:)
Clive.

The hurricane ended up staying over night at EK due to a band of horrendous weather that came through at about 1800. The first Hurri to stay in a hangar at EK i believe. Departed EK at approx 0815 (?) on the glorious sunday morning.
It certainly sounded well.:)…I was hearing it very clearly at the South end of Spilsby…
Thank you,
Clive.
Did the Hurricane night stop at East Kirkby.??
On Sunday morning at 8-25am-ish I was hearing RR Merlin sounds from East Kirkby direction.
Clive.

Hurricane? passing overhead Spilsby heading South 4-15pm
Clive.
and I saw the Hammond pair over Howden.
Ah, this could perhaps explain what my work collegue saw at the weekend over Bratoft E. Lincs….she suggested BBMF but I had a feeling they were not about that way…so I suggested a pair of Mustangs….could have been..she said..;)
Clive.
Red Arrows….passing immediately North of my works location of Gunby E.Lincs 12-05 today heading East…:)
They looked brilliant against a sky as blue as ever I have seen and with perfect fluffy white clouds.;):)
Clive.
..and I still haven’t got to see one.!!
..but I’m happy with my chance spotted F86-A and Hurricane too this weekend.;) I had expected the BBMF visit to be Spitfire…so the Hurricane was a sort of chance spot too:)
Clive.
Spotted 3-21pm…Hurricane LF363 displaying at the Spilsby show…well, it is only a couple of doors up the road;)
…quite steep climb out to the West and home to Coningsby…

Have just shot out into the garden on hearing a light sounding jet….was that the F86 that I spotted going South.??…passing just East of Spilsby 5-26pm…
Might explain the light sounding jet that I did not see going North just after lunchtime.??
Clive.:)
A quick web search suggests…..to and from BAE Brough Families day.??
MJ627 has just passed South of Spilsby, E. Lincs heading SW 8-18pm….:)

Apache (does that count as Historic ?) over Welwyn G.C. this afternoon at 16.45hrs – second one this week.
Only if it was a PA23;)…a lovely sound..:)
Meanwhile,…the more recent Apache….I have yet to actually see one….
Clive.
1-30pm-ish today G-ASMJ (I think I read)….orbiting my works location at Gunby, E.Lincs…. it may not quite fit the Historic forum.…but then it is almost as old as me;)
Should we expect a knock on the door some day soon with a photo;)
Clive.
