7-20pm today Spitfire MJ627 spotted passing overhead home here in Spilsby.:)

..and earlier today 1-15pm…Chipmunk spotted heading N. over Stickney E. Lincs….I was peering into a bright sky..and paying attention to the A16 that I was driving on……but it looked light coloured rather than BBMF black….
I asked for confirmation from the back seat…but I don’t think mother tallied the Chipmunk….although she does wave to the Spitfire…:)

5-01pm…MJ627 has just flown by…with an orbit of Spilsby, E.Lincs..:).

Ref the balloons…
I remember back in 1981/2?? seeing a hot air ballon come in from the E. Lincolnshire coast….it was adorned with “Dusseldorf Gas”?? on the side I seem to recall…and trailing a weighted rope with flag…

Seem to think it wandered on across the country eventually I believe felling an electric line 😮

Spotted 4-23:30 pm Lancaster over Southern edge of Spilsby turning onto West for East Kirkby..absolutely overhead here:):)

My father tells me that BBC local radio reports were giving a possible test flight for the Lancaster on Monday 11th.??..the report also said that other Flight aircraft would if possible cover its planned events.

..and today…3-38pm BBMF Spitfire spotted out to the West from Spilsby performing flypasts at East Kirkby..I think this was in lieu of Lancaster.??

According to http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?p=324991#p324991 at 13.00 hrs this Thursday German Luftwaffe Transall C-160 50+42 just delivered a spare Merlin engine at Amsterdam Airport… 😮

C160 noted this morning 8-55am turning onto Coningsby approach from the South at Gunby, E.Lincs.
Noted climbing out to the East..11-18?am

I was away from any e-access…but I kind of knew what was on….;)

Harvard spotted 12-42pm passing SW of Spilsby en route East Kirkby..:).

…add to that…. Mustang at 1-01pm.:)

..and
Dakota N473DC spotted heading East passing South of Spilsby at 1-20pm…return West passing Spilsby 1-34pm…with one orbit with gear..
…and again West, passing just S of Spilsby with gear 2-52pm..

BBMF Dakota…spotted whilst out at Easton Gardens…just up the road from Grantham…

Thank you for carrying out..perhaps a timekeeping orbit??…right above where I had chosen to be stood admiring the gardens this afternoon.:) ;)…
