For some people religion is just simply a way of finding somewhere they can go speak to without having it being a man with a clipboard saying pedantically “how are you feeling today?” – like I have over many years, I’ve used praying to God for miracles and finding a way to make me feel strong.
10 years ago yesterday on 20th January 2004 my sister had a heart attack and was dying, I went to the prayer room at school every single day asking for a miracle and here we are 10 years later and she’s still alive, even though the Doctor’s said she had (at the time) the worst heart in the North East and would probably be dead by the end of 2004 …
Some people, like me, don’t use religion as a malice to other people nor do I stand with a bible telling people “you shall burn in the fired pits of the hells below our feet” – because contrary to popular belief, not all of us are inclined to the exact same settings.
