    Hi,

What’s colour of the helipad on the Gorshkov pr. 22350 class frigates?
The standard “red brick” colour or the same grey used on the hull and other surfaces?

    Thanks.

    Kashin Class Destroyers Project 61ME

    Hi,

I’m looking for a good/detailed photos regarding the BrahMos VLS at Kashin Class Destroyers Project 61ME of the Indian Navy but I only have the following photo of INS Ranvir D54:
    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fb/Yoga_onboard_INS_Ranvir.jpg
    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fb/Yoga_onboard_INS_Ranvir.jpg

Another photo of INS D54 Project 61Me Kashin class destroyer:

    High resolution photo link:

    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/Flickr_-_Official_U.S._Navy_Imagery_-_Exercise_Malabar_2012._%281%29.jpg

    Notes:
The 8× Brahmos VLS cells are clearly visible where the AFT SA-N-1 SAM Launcher use to be (close to the hangar door).
Also interesting to note is the number of Barak SAM VLS Cells: 2 modules of 8x cells on each side replacing the FWD 30 mm AK-630 CIWS.
That makes a total of 32x Barack SAM VLS cells!

    Question nº1:
The Barak VLS hatches seems almost identical to the Brahmos VLS hatches. Is it possible?
Not sure if the Barak and Brahmos VLS hatches of the Kolkata Guided Missile Destroyer class (Project 15A) can be used as a baseline…. 🙂

    Question nº2:
Does anyone has other photos with the VLS hatches onboard these ships in detail, please?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Nice photos! Thanks for sharing.
BTW, what’s the pennant number of Admiral Kasatonov? Some information on the web mention the serial number “922”.

Is there a difference between “pennant number” and “serial number”, or “serial number” is just a “temporary” number and the definitive pennant number of the 2nd ship of this class (Admiral Kasatonov) will be “418”?

    Thanks.

“Admiral of the Fleet of Soviet Union Gorshkov”

    Hi,

So “Admiral of the Fleet of Soviet Union Gorshkov” in Cyrillic is “Адмирал Флота Советского Союза Горшков

Any idea about the name in Cyrillic on the hull (bellow the helipad safety nets) of the 2nd ship of this class?

Can you also confirm if the pennant number of the 2nd ship is “922”?

    Thanks

    Hi,

where are the Gremyashchy Corvette Project 20385 being built?

I’m currently building Gremyashchy Corvete Project 20385 at 1/700 scale and would like to contact the shipyard in order to clarify the colour of the decks of the real ships.

Unfortunately, it is a boring grey, not the classic Soviet brick.

    Hi,

Is this scheme applied to the “new generation” of russian warships namely, Project 11356 – Admiral Grigorovich Class Frigates, Project 22350 Admiral Gorshkov Class Frigates and Project 20385 Gremyashchy Class Corvettes?

Another question, is the grey colour of the hull is the same colour used on the decks?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

What’s the colour of the decks?
The standard russian red brick colour of dark grey?
    I couldn’t found an aerial photo…

    Hi,

Can you please confirm the final number of VLS cells (bow and stern) aboard the Project 20385 Gremyashchy Class Corvette?
At some point I read that the number of VLS cells at the stern was reduced.

    Thanks.

Cold Launch – The weapon is expeled from the VLS by (usually) compressed air and/or mechanical action

Hot Launch – The weapon flies from the VLS through its means by igniting its own propulsion system, rocket usually

    Muito obrigado.

Kalibr is hot launched, Redut is cold.

What’s the difference between a cold and a hot launch?

    Thanks.
